Hi FlaSandman. Automatic batteries just have issues. They have a little silicone diaphragm that moves back and forth when you draw on the ecig, activating a tiny switch. These things are touchy when they're new and clean. Add to that that they are not sealed very well and juice often gets in there and makes the issues worse.
Manuals are sealed better and having the button to push gives you more control over the length of draw and when the atty is activated. By this, I mean that you can push the button a second or two before you start to draw warming up the atty and therefor getting a better hit.
Hope that helps. Happy vaping. :)

With a manual you can control how long the atomizer is heating. No cut off time. Some also say that the autos can kick on my loud noises. I personally never experienced that. Also with a manual no need to do primer puffs. I also started with an auto but once I switched to a manual I pretty much have not used my autos since.

BTW - what devise are you using? I would recommend an ego and/or riva as something to consider in the future.

Hi Mistress. New avatar? This one's a little less intimidating. Still sultry with a side of creepy though. I like it.

The last one was in the cigarette death throes. Not me anymore. Thought I'd change it to something more appropriate to my present frame of mind.

Sultry and creepy. Art imitates life, I suppose.

I know I am not the majority, but I prefer the auto battery. I tried my husband's manual battery for a day and it just felt unnatural for me - to push a button to smoke/vape. I do refill my own carts and am just careful not to overfill or when dripping, not to tilt the ecig LED side down to avoid getting juice in the battery.

My auto batteries are a little less sensetive too after a couple weeks and still only have to be recharged after 4-5 hours of moderate vaping, so 3 times a day usually. I guess it's all about personal preference :). No way to know unless you try it. GL

Actually both have cut off times. I actually like the automatic and here is why. I am a video game player and using a controller requires the use of both hands. Also I am an ex-smoker. I used to smoke by holding the cig between my lips. An automatic feels more natural to me. Some say the manuals have more control. A cut off gives you about 10 to 15 seconds on the vapor king whether it be and auto or manual. Can you inhale for 10 - 15 second straight? probably not. I love the auto from vapor king. Dont knock it until you try it. I also like to hold an ecig like an analog, cant do that with a manual. I buy my vapor kings at vapor4life.com. I swear by them. Their Automatics are the best in my opinion with a wide variety of sizes and colors to mix and match your catomizers and blank cartomizers which also come in many colors. And they have cool carts, never burn your lips again.
