Automatic batteries in the rain?

Have any of you managed to short an automatic e-cig battery in the rain? I imagine you'd have to be extraordinarily unlucky for it to happen, but I live on top of a mountain and the weather gets rather monsoon-like from time to time.

Back when I smoked conventional cigs, I'd always have a morning smoke in the shower. It's a ritual I've had to part with of course. Aside from essentially having to relearn to smoke (or vape I should say) I'd say the loss of that tradition was one the hardest aspects of embracing the whole e-cig concept.

But now I love the thing. And I'm mortified of getting my equipment wet. I want to protect my little kr8 battery, piddly as it may be.

Please share your experiences, if applicable.

You can pick up a manual kr808 battery for pretty cheap from smokelessimage or bloog or v4l if they carry them. I know the smokeless image volts have a manual version. They're sealed manuals so it shouldn't be a problem.

As for my only auto, my kr808 volt, I've taken it out in the rain quite a few times being in Scotland and all and I've not shorted one yet. Not that I'm recommending it, but I've gotten juice in the auto batteries before and they still worked. Unless you're somehow using your batteries with no carto on them there shouldn't be much room for any liquid to get in the little air holes and if you shield the holes with your hand you shouldn't get any rain in it.

You can hold it like a mic even to really shield it so only the end of the carto is showing and it'll still pull like it would any other time.

Shield it if it's a worry but I really doubt you could harm them with rain.
