:(Sorry to say, that I bought a 5-pack of auto batteries from Janty for my Ego in March and two are dead and gone....Don't know why, they just are...Still have my original manuel batteries that I bought in Feb and they are working great...No wonder Janty doesn't warrenty the 5-pack batteries.....Problem is I really enjoy having an auto in at times...Just don't want them to last only two months...The other 3 auto left I decided to use as stand-bys only...I think from now on, will only buy manuel batteries, one at a time...At least that way, I have the warrenty....
Just what happens to me...And of course everyone has different experiences with their own PVs...Later and Enjoy the Adventure...

I've been using autos and I must say that I do like them. Especially when I'm up and around and keep my e-cig on my pocket, the manuals tend to burn my leg when I sit down.

I started using autos when I took my mother-in-law's "dead" Luci batteries. Then I got a Joye auto from cignot with my PCC and it works great.

While there ARE auto fans, there's not MANY of them. I'm not a fan of the 'accidental button push' either, but it's better than having it firing in your pocket because of a strong wind or a loud noise!

I prefer my autos for day-to-day use. I realize I'm in the minority, but the puff-puff feel of an auto is satisfying to me in a way that the button push isn't.

I firmly believe everyone should have both in their arsenal. They each have their strong points and uses, and what works for one user may not work for another.

The goal is to keep everyone vaping instead of smoking, and I think that we should encourage everyone to find WHATEVER works for them, instead of pushing one thing over another.

I agree 100%.

BUT, IMHO, the manual produces a better flavor, more vapor and throat hit..the one thing all newbies are desperate for. I have both in my arsenal as well, but the manual is what got me off cigarettes after 25 years. As they did for 95% of the people on here.

That's all I'm saying and just trying to help..:2c:

You've hit the nail on the head - I didn't quit cigarettes until I switched over to manual like you.

It's a secret!
I've tried both myself and really don't like manual ecigs. For one, it's unnatural to me as I have always enjoyed smoking mostly hands free. Plus it's just annoying for me to have to hit the button. I'm going to stick with auto batteries from now on. I've never had one mis-fire from noise, wind or motion. But a lack of an automatic is why I've not purchased any mods. I was very happy to find out that the ego has an auto battery.

I always find that vaping my auto batteries is a much more satisfying experience for me.

I agree with Domino on this also. When I first stopped using analogs, it took the manual battery and the non-cut-off feature to allow me to get the major TH I needed at the time...Now, I can use both and don't get me wronge, autos are nice and great when holding it in your mouth, ie fishing, working with your hands, but for overall satisfaction,,,I need the "extra" time that my manual supplies...Again, Whatever works,,,use it...and of course...Enjoy the Adventure...

Bringing this up again again because cos I think there are some myths going on.

Some people like manuals and some like autos, that's the only difference here and that's just down to preference. Hardware wise, there's not a lot in it.

One variable is design and manufacturing. e.g For autos, the most reliable type is the vacuum sensitive type. I've heard (not tried) there's another sound sensitive type, which is daft and have a lot of complaints, I would avoid this one.

Battery life cannot be affected by whether it's a manual to auto, it's just a battery connected to a switch. Of course if you puff more on an auto than press the switch on a manual, the battery life will be affected, but then you are getting all the vape that you puff. You can control an auto like a manual by blocking the hole, and you can get that puff puffety action with a manual though there's a lot more clicking.

My point here is some of the claims like 'manuals taste better' or 'autos taste better', are misguided.
The only difference is the switch, everything else is (theoretically) the same.

It could be that the OP happened to buy a brand that made crap autos and good manuals.
