Electro-Nic Stix sells direct 510 PTs (no inline battery), but they are manual.

Why don't you try an automatic Kr8 PT with Kr8 to 510 adapter. Vapor4Life and NHaler sell the PTs; NHaler, AltSmoke, and GoodProphets (lowest price) sell the adapters.

I used my penstyle (e.g., DSE801) attys on the NHaler PT and it worked great. I'm about to receive the manual PT from V4L to use in the same way.

You can get 510 auto batteries from Heaven Gifts and Cignot (only in starter kit). [Heaven Gifts also sells the adapters.]

Thanks, I'm gonna do this... I was looking at the KR808-1 batteries after reading the Dr Scottbee research on voltages, or should I say wattage. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/joye-510/65055-battery-voltages-surprise.html Now another reason to buy KR808-1 stuffs to work with my 510s!

I've been letting my computer sleep when I'm away, so the PT have not charged enough. I thought about straight piping around the battery, but that would probably eliminate any USB port protection. I could get the wall adapters but the battery probably needs replaced sometime soon anyway...

So I ended up ordering all sorts of parts and juice from Nhaler and goodprophets. I found a coupon for Nhaler, and goodprophets has 0 shipping :).

The 801 usb PT without battery is 19 bucks at nhaler, well worth the price as it should power years of vapes.

I also have a Tornado on the way, should be here any day :)

Thank you for making me/us aware of that illuminating Scottbee post!

I suspect you mean NHaler's 808 (i.e., KR808D-1) USB PT. I was very impressed with its performance with my penstyle attys (with adapter, of course). Didn't last for years, however; I dropped it on the tile floor one too many times.

You do realize that the Tornado is manual, not auto, right?

Yes, the KR808D-1, not the 801 :)

The Tornado is manual, I don't mind as much on the portable. I've had 2 auto and 3 manual batteries so far. Positioning a whistle tip is easier with the auto, and I like to have both hands free, but if the battery will last that long, I'll deal with it. With the size of the battery, you have to hold it anyway.

That thread mentions a voltage drop on the PT, but I've enjoyed mine very much, I'm guessing it is designed to have that higher voltage drop... in any case lots of vape and no dead battery.

One point made was that the KR battery + 501 atty burns off some of the build up on the atty. I'm not sure if my new PT will have the same power affect as the KR battery.
