I have an E-Power 14650 and I really like it. It uses the non-proprietarty 14650 batteries. I have the two stock ones that the unit came with and I recently got an AV IMR 14650 "High-Drain" Battery from Avid Vaper. I normally just cycle thru the 3 batteries and have been doing that for a few weeks with no problems. I have been using the High-Drain for the last day and the switch just did the normal blink that the battery was dead and needed to be charged. So I unscrewed the switch and when I did I notiiced the bottom of the switch where the battery touches was kinda brown and had some kind of liquid on it. The top of the battery was all wet also. I havent gotten it wet at all and it hasnt been around any water. I smelled it and the entire battery and switch and tube where the liquid is all smell very strongly like rubbing alcohol. The battery is normally red and I noticed that near the top when it meets the switch was kind of orangish and faded. Also the marking on the battery where it says "IMR 14650 950mah" has been smeared slightly. Some of the liquid got on the outside ofthe tube and actually started taking off the rubberized black finish!!
This liquid really seems like its no joke. What is this and why is my battery leaking chemicals!!??
Does anyone have any idea what the heck that is or what happened??!? Im afraid to put it on the charger now, Im afraid it might blow up or catch on fire or something. I feel like the liquid that smelled like rubbing alcohol must have come out of the batter bc I cant think of any other explanation of where it came from.
Does anyone know what that is or how that could have happened? Also what should I do? Why would it leak like that?
Any help from any veterans would be MUCH MUCH appreciated! Someone pleasee try to give me an answer ASAP!
Thanks!
Rob
