Sometimes I'm a dripper when I drink too fast and most of it ends up down my shirt
Perhaps you should do some research before you start trying to stir up unsubstantiated claims like that... This is a SmokTech product and I see no reason that indicates this one is less RoHS complaint than all of their other products.

nice point rd but i would add if the posts are brass be sure to clean any juice out if your not going to use it for a bit. ive got stuff out of my box i didnt use for a while and the brass got all yucky cuz i didnt cleant it before i tossed it in there...

i am very sorry to offend. this was not my intention. im not trying to stir up anything. i agree that i should do research. this is my research. i thought of no better place to ask than ECF, more specifically, the vendor's sub forum who is selling the device. i thought this would be a great place to ask about product specifics. my aplogies if this is not the correct place to ask about this question.
judging by your response, it appears that you believe that this device does not contain lead. i appreciate your response and thank you for your help. if Daniel or Badkolo want to weigh in with what they know i would really appreciate that too.
The RoSH directive has prohibited the use of lead ( and other toxic substances ) in electronics starting back in 2003 and was more fully implemented by 2006... The use of food grade components had prohibited the use of lead even further back than that. So it isn't a matter of it being a good question or not.... just that asking it now is dated to say the least.
I cant figure out why the Octopus would use NR welded to Kanthal? this makes no sense whatsoever..
Would make sense if the had half a wrap of nr on each end. No point wasting resist wire in areas that wont vaporize liquid. If they still had kanthal lifted up off the wick on each end then there is no point.
Don't know about any of that! I just opened it up, checked the coil and connections, ohmed it out. Put it back together and dropped about 18 drops down the top, let it set for a couple of minutes and lit it up into Vape Nirvana!

Yes, it is aluminum. It is 18mm in diameter and 32mm tall(not counting 510 stem) And it vapes very well. And I was not a fan of Drippers till now.
It is impressive looking and seems to work well too. Why is it there is always something new coming out that I feel I need to try? When I smoked analogs I didn't run around trying every brand to see if it was any better than what I was smoking, I just bought the brand I always did and was fine with my choice. It seems with ecigs I'm always looking for something better. I have a box of stuff now that gets little use. Maybe this is the one I've been waiting for. Reviews are good and it's not super complicated so that's a plus.
