Avatar question

Fine, off the topic of vapeing. I tried to load a few 150 / 150 px pics of me, for an avatar, but it would not let me load them. What am I doing wrong?

is the file size below 5KB? Just going to try and add my own

Use a pic editing program for whatever platform you're using and

1) Save it in jpg format if at all possible as it uses better compression. You can't have transparent pixels though.
2) Resize it to 150x150. Many editors have a slider that will allow you to adjust lossy compression until it is under the file size limit.

ECF's pic loader will resize the pic (at least it used to) to fit within the limits if you give it a file that's too big. But it doesn't do it as well as you can, you often end up with some small little square.

Supporting members get a 200x200 and I think 10K limit.

Also, be sure your are not confusing profile pic (shows in your profile only) with avatar (shows on each post). To add/change your avatar, go to settings, and then Edit Avatar (or click this link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/profile.php?do=editavatar ).

Is it acceptable to use multiple boxes to border an avatar?

You'll need to edit the image in an editing program to orient it the right way (Paint in Windows would do the job nicely). vBulletin doesn't recognize EXIF tags that are associated with images.

The one you uploaded for your profile pic is right side up. Did you perhaps click "edit profile picture" instead of "edit avatar" when you tried to correct it?

Nope, I've tried to "edit avatar" a few times. Even edited image and reloaded etc.
