I used to do TV service and always carried tuner cleaner in my tube caddy. If they were really bad, I had to pull the tuner out, take the covers off and clean it by hand. It was a pain, but usually worked. The worse were always in the homes where everyone smoked.

I had to take a TV repair course 13 years ago as part of my electronics course. I was in the night class with all of the adults - who wanted to be there and learn. The day class was full of kids that would sabotage the TV's to get out of the lab work. One night I went into the lab and had barely turned on my tv when an arc flew out and knocked me into the wall. Needless to say, TV repair was not a career choice for me.

The training did come in handy when our TV when on the fritz and I told the repairman exactly what the problem was. Of course, he initially treated me like a dumb woman, but respected me so much after he confirmed the problem, he took off the labor charges and only charged me for the part - bad voltage regulator. I guess that wall slam did me some good way after the fact! ;)

I'm a bit bigger than you Cindy. I got it turned to the side on the stand then put a blanket on a furniture dolly. I ended up just shoving it off and thankfully it landed right on it. It stayed in the corner of my living room for 3 months before i could set it out for the trash company to take it away.

Your best bet is to find some strong he men to cart that thing away!

My user name is a nickname given to me by my brother before he passed. Back in the day all my friends had smooth lines for picking up girls, I just tended to introduce my self, find some common interest and talk to them, so he joked that I had game like atari. Not flashy or impressive but you cant beat the classics or forget the basics. The avatar is from my favorite movie Boondock saints. For some reason when I started on here i just wanted a pic of some one smoking and this was the baddest pic i could think of

For the sake of not repeating myself, here's my little back story:

And Tail, I still have one of those 32" Sony Trinitrons, dead and stuck on a 4-foot pedestal! Mind you, I'm 4'11" and 112 lbs., so I guess I'll be staring at that blank CRT and using my imagination a lot for awhile longer.

List it on freecycle.org - someone will come get it for you.

I'm a male......I didn't know if that was part of the question but there ya go.

The user name is decades old at this point but I am a drummer, have been since I was 12 and a drum key is a small tool used to tune drums. At the time, I thought that I could come up with some ironic and prophetic reason to go along with drummerskey but it is a name that no one ever seems to have and I don't have to add numbers.

The avatar is the result of boredom at work. I wanted to find a unusual vaping pic but I couldn't find one. I like the movie Space Balls (it isn't a favorite, just one I like) but I took one of my PVs out and held it to a picture on my monitor. I thought it was funny, so I kept it.

By the way, hello to everyone! I have been playing hookie for a while....had some other things to take care of, life stuff.

Space Balls was pretty funny. I still say "I'm going to plaid." once in awhile when I hit the gas to pass:) Good seeing you here.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I can recite the entire movie along with others. It was pretty funny.

Nice to see you back! If you have an X2 battery try the T3, it's pretty good in my opinion anyway.

The movie I remember the lines from best is Wrath of Khan...I'll chase him 'round the moons of Nebia and through Perdiscions flames until I have him, MORE POWER DAMN YOU!!!
