Avatar size limits? ⇐ doofus.

So, I've been trying to pimp avatars to the "noobs", and it turns out I don't have any idea what I'm talking about. I hate it when I find I've been a horse's... uh...

Anyone mind laying out the size limits (in both pixels and kB) as they relate to whatever milestone applies? ie: "X" number of posts required for = "X" sized avatar, etc.

This is stated under where you place your avi. You can use mine as reference as its exactly 150x150 and 7.51 KB (7688 bytes). If you are using photoshop just "save for web" and you can see all the dimensions exactly

The maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 5.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

Hi Cielo, I can understand why you would never need to consider this, since you have one of the nicest avatars I've ever seen...

But the avatar size limit changes depending on your forum "member group". For example, mine is 200x200 pixels @ 19.5 kB. For others, it is 150x150, @ ... I forget, hence the reason for this post...

Doesn't it begin with 75x75 px after the 15th post, or something similar?

hmmm. I wasnt aware of that. I have had this avi since i first joined so maybe 150x150 is the smallest size allowed? It still says 150x150 for me but maybe its different for those who donate to the forums. I do plan to donate as soon as I get a job thanks also for the nice compliment and i love your monkey avi, it always makes me smile.

150x150 is the normal

200x200 if you are a supporting member.

Thanks, Connman! I guess I need to figure out the kB limit, then... they are all 150x150, but I guess they need to be less than what? 5 kB? That seems pretty small...
