Can't figure out how to add one to my profile..what's the trick ? TIA!

Click on "Settings" at the very top of the forum and then in the left side bar you click on "Edit Avatar". This one is the image that shows in your posts, if you want a profile pic (which only shows in your user profile) that is separate and can be uploaded by going to Settings and in the left menu bar click "Edit Profile Picture"

Go to settings. On the left side you will see a sidebar for "My settings". There is a link for "Edit avatar". You would click on that.

Before you go there - contemplate your image. For a non supporter it can be no larger than 150x150 pixels. You will need to resize anything down to that for the avatar upload to work.
