The movie, not the thing next to your name. I really wanted a jug of lemonade so I made the trek over to wally world... Ended up leaving with some windshield washer fluid, Avatar, and my lemonade..what a place

Did you guys like that movie? If not, why? I know it's just Pocahontas in space but I think it's really cool. Wish I had an Avatar...

Ok time to watch part of it.

I thought it was good, yes. However, it does strike me odd that it is the highest grossing film, ever. I didn't think it was that good.

But I realize that the 3-D/special effects played a large part in it's popularity, and I did enjoy that aspect. The storyline.. was decent. (I never saw Pocahontas, but I've heard others make the comparison with Avatar.) But if I had to take 10 movies with me on that ol' deserted island people are always dangling at ya, I don't think Avatar would make the list..highest grossing film not withstanding. :D

A fine segue into the -new & improved- world of 3-D, however. I suppose we'll be seeing 3-D movies up the wazoo now. Not necessarily a bad thing...I just hope they don't try to 3-D up stories that would otherwise be just fine without it.

I would have LOVED to see this in 3D. My husbands Mom saw it in 3D and said it rocked! I didn't see it in the movie theater either but bought it on DVD thinking, what the hey, might as well see what it's about. OMG, totally love this movie and would totally love and Avatar of my very own. That world was amazing to say the least!

It is not Pocahontas in Space.

It is Dances With Wolves in Space.

And it still rocks. Great movie. Too bad you didn't see it in 3D on the big screen. That's where it really shines.

Ah, will have to see that one and compare. Yeah...3d was the way to go.

I saw Avatar at one of those Cinamax Dome theatres.....right after I got out of the hospital so I was high as a kite on Fentanyl,Valium and Oxycodone...the movie rocked!!!

seriously.....if you can see it in 3D it's worth it just for the effects...but I also loved the movie. I mean whats not to love.....get old,fat,crippled.....just jack in to a sexy new avatar body.....I wish!!!!

nope, gotta go way back to know what movie it was made from...

its basically a remake of the 1970 movie A Man Called Horse. I'd say thats the closest to Avatar than the others. (personal opinion of course)
