This is a very loaded question, and not a simple one to answer.

Simply because there are so many places to buy Nicotine. PG and VG. Also Flavors vary from brand to brand/ and from place to place.

But breaking it down. You can goto a popular place like Wizard Labs for your Nic.
Nicotine Extract

I usually get 250ml of the 60mg. ($21.29) Mix that down to what my husband vapes (12mg) I get 1250ml. Unflavored.
I buy a gallon of USP PG from Tractor Supply for $20 but you can buy it from the Wizard as well.
I buy my Humco USP VG at Publix for $2.69 6oz. (Or Walmart for $4) but you can get the VG from Wizard labs as well.

They sell flavors in 8ML glass vials for $1.49 a piece and that flavors a good bit of juice.
You can also get flavors at other stores. OnestopDIY, or Ecigexpress. Or directly from the flavor companies (TPA or Flavor West).

But RTS also sells nic and a few other places. I personally rely on Wizard Labs.

DIY is more like an art form. so many flavors. Not enough time.

There are a number of factors that affect your final cost/ml in DIY. Initial cost of ingredients, the nic ratio you mix to, VG/PG ratio, flavoring ratio, bottle type you use, etc. But to try to answer your question, I'm averaging around $2 or so per 30 ml bottle when mixing @ 24mg, 50/50, 15% flavoring, and reusing my bottles. Most of that cost goes to flavoring and nic.

I buy all my supplies from High Desert Age Test , great variety, service and prices.I mix most of my juices at 18% nic in 80pg/20vg with about 18-20% flavoring. Buying in the quantities I buy in, 30 ml size flavorings and 500 ml size VG/PG and nic, it costs me about $8.60 per 120 ml batch. I would save a little by buying the PG/VG/nic in larger 1000 ml sizes but my wife would not appreciate me taking up more room in the fridge.

Buying from WL, using ~2% TPA flavoring (at lowwww nic .. 2mg), I could do 120ml for about $3.00 .. that doesn't include shipping costs, bottles (I reuse), or syringes (I reuse).

An "expensive" 120ml batch is probably close to $4.. Using higher percentages of flavoring, or tobacco blends with multiple ingredients and FlavourArt tobacco flavors.

Still dirt cheap. I swear by Wizard Labs for nic, PG, VG, and TPA flavorings.
Liberty Flights for cheap FlavourArt (though they have a bit out of stock... :( )

In my case using my fav flavs ('round 12% @ 15mg nic) at this time, $5.02. Averaging with non-sales DIY purchases in the past, $5.64. That includes shipping, but not mixing equipment (bottles, syringes, glass cylinders, etc.).

ETA: I mix unflav'd 60/40 PG/VG @ 15mg for a local fireman at $2.16 for 120 ml!!!

at 10%-12% flavor and 12mg/ml DIY juice I am in the .06/.07 per ml range. Even if you are heavy on the nic and flavors and get in the .20 per ml range you are still way ahead versus buying premade stuff. Plus add the fact that you can dial in to YOUR tastes and that = WIN. Best of luck and happy vapes

DIY does take time to experiment and get your flavors at the right ratio. But that is a good thing because you can tailor your juice to your taste. As you've already found out vendor to vendor some juices are ok, some are good and some are great. But others think the ok juice is the best all day vape ever. These tastebuds differ from person to person.

DIY is also slightly addicting. Finding the holy grail of juice.
For instance, Flavor West makes a very nice lemonade. (I bought 4oz olf flavoring directly from the company).
It is great with just a little TPA Koolata. But wait... How about a Raspberry Lemonade... or a Raspberry Lemonade with a little mint and menthol.. Your one flavor creations evolve into many flavored monsters quickly.

I think I need to mix some up tonight.

So I decided to do the math for 18mg juice at 20% total flavoring.

I used wizardlabs prices minus shipping. 60mg nicotine, 60ml bottle and 120ml bottles of PG/VG. No size option on flavors so 8ml per flavor.

$10.21 a month / $0.34 a day

Also .. per ml, the flavoring is the most expensive additive .. NOT nicotine. Thought that was interesting.

Rounded up here's the cost per ml:
Flavor: $0.19
Nic: $0.12
PG/VG: $0.03

Again, this is using wizardlabs with no bulk pricing on flavor.

Edit at the top. I should answer the question, huh? Right about $7 for a 120ml bottle for me.

I'm running around 5-6 cents per ml flavored. I bought a gallon of PG and VG and use 100mg/ml nic from wizard labs.

Including glass bottles, gear, and shipping I have $170 invested and need nothing to get about 570 days of vaping as far as juice. Likely more as I expect to cut my nic level down. Essentially two years for $170. Less than a quarter a day in juice. Bulk size purchases would still put me around a dollar or more a day on purchased juice.

This is very good since I have a mod problem and spent far too much on them.

I've been dabbling in DIY and not sure why some people posted "minus shipping".... it costs this, etc. ? Maybe I've misread the info. Why wouldn't they include shipping? I'm thinking the cost of my DIY stuff is higher than everyone posted here because shipping is not free from most vendors. LOL. I haven't calculated how much I'm saving yet because I'm still ordering favorite flavors from vendors and spending way too much $$ on DIY stuff LOL  trying to duplicate but end up tossing stuff.

Average cost is greatly determined by how far are you willing to take it ... Before even trying DIY juice, I read the DIY liquid section alot to learn what it was all about. Also you must never forget to read Hoosier blog about this topic

With all the flavoring I ordered anywhere in the world ... I even one time had shipping costs that were double price then the products I ordered, I didn't save that much. I like experimenting, I like vaping different things. I have some gotos, but mostly I vape another experiment each day/2 days. I can't put a price tag on it. It just depends on how you do it

I also got some gradulated cylinders, glass bottles, alot of stuff, just because this is turning more into a hobby. If you say only vape fruit flavor Y and do not want something else or you say this will be the only thing I am vaping for the rest of my life, then you can make up a cost sheet. But I am like most here I guess, we keep trying out other things and buying more flavoring, so a cost/ml sheet is kinda impossible to make :)
