Oh boy. That is really hard to answer. If your buy in bulk your price goes way down. If you don't it all depends on how well you shop and what you are currently paying. The other problem is how many mess ups you have before you find your flavors and companies. There are so many variables.

For me it's been priceless. I never did find an all day vape until I went with DIY. Now I have been vaping the same basic recipe for over a year and it's saved me ton's of money. However, If I had given up when I first started I would simply have lost money and possibly have even given up on vaping all together.

I really don't like to give advice because what works for you or me probably won't work for anyone else. I will say this. I tried a bunch of different places and most of them were simply not that great. Flavor West water soluble ultra strength worked for me when nothing else did.

If you are only interested in trying to make a couple of bottles then it will cost you more than it's worth. Go with some great place like Ms. T's.

I don't have an exact number, didn't order the highest strength or size I could have and prices here are a bit more....but roundabout ~10-15c/mL for raw ingredients is my guess. Though my first order I had to get prepared, bottles, gloves, syringes, glass droppers, etc, so it's not quite that low yet. I've also recently decided to stop worrying about my vape pricing, it'll always be cheaper than analogues, this is just a way to turn the dial up to 11.

It's worth it because it's fun, I have a large supply I can thin as I please, and any flavour I can think of is potentially at my fingertips. And no premix can make you feel like a mad scientist. Mwahahahaha is free!

I did a cost analysis back when I first started, the most expensive mix I made cost about 3.19 for a 30ml. I was using what my friends were using and not really happy with a lot of the results. I started trying different brands, had more success and have no idea now what it costs per 30m, probably less than before due to bulk buys and using less flavoring in the mix.

Having said that I buy my nic at 36mg in PG, don't really want to mess with high strength nic, I vape at 4mg, my regular stuff is now made in 120ml batches and I always have a few test batches sitting around in tasting mode. My favorite flavorings I now buy in 4oz bottles and get a bulk discount. I could probably spend less but my costs are FAR less than buying juice, and nothing replaces the AHA of finding something new and tasty on your own ;)

I get my nicotine from Wizard Labs for about $30/ 250 ml. My VG and PG from them too for about $8/liter. Flavorings from all over the place, but mostly The Flavors Apprentice, Wizard labs, Ecigexpress and vaping zone. If I make 18mg.ml juice, my costs run about $2.70 per 30 ml bottle, not including the bottle. ( I vape 0 nic, so my juice runs about $2.00 per 30 ml) I think that really cheap because I get exactly what I want to vape, and not some over-priced trail juice that I may or may not like for 4 or 5 times the price.
Good luck with DIY and, most of all, enjoy!
