Depends on the person and how much you vape.

Sitting infront of my computer at night, chain vaping, 26 mg works fine for me.

At work where I have to go out for a smoke, 36 mg is not enough. To vape like you smoke analogs, you need powerfull stuff.

The nice thing is you can vape alot, unlike smokes where after chaining 5 or more you feel like crap. The bad thing about vape is you have to do it a lot more to get the same effect.

The answer is: not a clue. I always went by 2ml equals about a pack of cigarettes. So a 30ml bottle should be about a carton and a half. But then I cut that with 1/3 PG/VG so I'm stretching it even further. But I'm always vaping differnt flavors at differnt times. 2 30ml bottles probably last me a month after cutting. During my work day, my vaping matches my old smoking routine. The only time I throw caution to the wind is when I'm vaping in front of the computer with my USB PT, then I turn into a chain vaping maniac.

My suggestion is to buy 1 30ml bottle per cartons of smokes. That seems to give a little elbow room. But ALWAYS leave yourself a buffer zone while waiting for the mailman. It's better to have too much juice rather than running short.

I only ran short once and that was due to a mailing error.

P.S. I really need to get a 3ml bottle of juice and vape that for a day. I just can't bring myself to vape only one flavor for a whole day!

    Somewhere between here and there
I am with ProfessorDaffy. I can't seem to vape the same flavor all day. I think it depends a little also if I use a 510 or 801 atty on my mod. I think that I go thru more with the 801 as it seems to deliver more vapor. I usually have about 400-500ml on hand at any time. Oops, make that 500-600ml. I forgot that I just bought some more. I tend to use no less than three flavors a day. If I had to guess, I would say that I probably use about 3-4ml of 24mg per day.

If a 30 ml bottle is equal to a carton of cigarettes and I only use 30 ml of liquid a week this means I am using less ecigs that cigarettes. I smoked up to 3 packs a day which is 2 cartons a week. To equal this I should be using 2-30ml bottles. Is this correct. I only use l 30ml bottle a week at the present time.

I am about 4ml a day at 24mg and up... It really depends on your device and voltage. I use the Prodigy most of the time at 5v and it seems to really go through the juice. Probably because I get some really massive puffs. I usually fill one of those tiny 3ml bottles in the morning and it is gone at the end of the day. Plus there are other flavors thrown in the as well so I am probably around the 5ml mark. after all is said and done. I surely varies from day to day. Just like my cig intake was... I would go from 1 to 2 packs a day depending on what I was doing. Just sitting in front of the computer I can really go through it.

Here are the calculations I posted in another thread. As I said there, if anyone sees an error in how I'm calculating this, please post a correction and if I can still edit the post I will.
    • There are 20 drops per ml of liquid.
    • If you have 36 mg e-liquid, there are 1.8 mg nicotine per drop.
    • If you have 18 mg e-liquid, there are 0.9 mg nicotine per drop.
    • If you smoke Marlboro analogs, they are rated at about 1.1 to 1.2 mg nicotine per cigarette.
    • Each drop of 18 mg e-liquid contains roughly the same nicotine as one cigarette. (Slightly less, perhaps.)
    • If you're vaping 1ml of 18mg e-liquid per day, you're getting about the same amount of nicotine as from a pack of Marlboros.
I read in one thread that vaping is a less efficient way to get nicotine in your system than smoking an analog. I don't know if that's true. If it is, 1 ml of 18 mg e-liquid is probably somewhat less than a pack of analogs in terms of nicotine actually delivered. (I think this is based on some of the stuff published by that New Zealand "research" company... not sure I'm buying what they're selling, to be honest...).

Anyway, based on the tons of e-liquid I have left after my first week and a half, I'd say I'm somewhere between 1 and 2 ml per day. I'll have to see where I am after a month to get a better idea of actual consumption. I know that I'm still using the same carts without a top-off that I started using yesterday afternoon, if that means anything. I keep two e-cigs ready to give myself two different strengths to switch between.

To address Martha's question "How do we know 30 ml equals a carton of cigarettes. I have never heard of this before. " I use the same basic theory above. 20 drop equals a milliliter. 2 drops should last you as long as a cigarette (king size anyway). Back when I was using my 306 I used to put two drops on the atomizer and get as many drags as a cigarette. Field tested when I'd vape with smokers. Two drop lasted the same--or longer--than their regular cigarettes.

Now, if 2 drops equals on cigarette and 20 drops = 1 milliliter. Therefore 1ml = 10 cigarettes. 2ml = 1 pack of cigarettes (20 cigarettes). 20ml equals a carton. Using that as a basis, 30ml should equal about a carton and a half. I tend to purchase thinking 1 30ml bottle will last me as long as a cartoon to be on the safe side. I stretch 30ml of juice even further by cutting it with 1/3 VG/PG.

I don't calculate nicotine, because 2 drops lasts two drops. The strength is based on personal choice. I vape 12mg (after cutting down from 18) strength and it's plenty with my 510. Hush! I used to smoke light cigs, too. 12mg is plenty!

Keep in mind there is no accuracy to any of this. No two people vape alike and I'm really surprised at how little liquid some people say they vape. Strength may play a part, too. I tend to vape about 4 drops at a time because I love a nice long vape. I used to be able to down a cigarette in under a minute (king size).

Really the only reason for doing the math is to make sure I have enough juice to last me through the month (pack a day habit in the past). I order 90 ml every month and have a lot left over. I also share a lot with co-workers. It's my nature to share.

Hope that explains it. It's tough when you've been vaping so long that you can't remember long it took you to smoke a cigarette or how many drags you took. But during those first few weeks, it was the ONLY thing I thought about!
