I am thinking about buying a 510 because my DSE103 just doesn't cut it,im killing attys like crazy. Before I spend more money on a new kit I want to make sure that the atty's usually last longer than a week which is what my current luck has been. How long do they last and are they made for heavier use? thanks guys sorry for posting so many silly questions I don't want to waste any more money.

Is hard to determine how long they will last for you. I bought my first 510 kit in march and my second about 2 weeks later. One of those 4 atomizers is still working. I have bought 4 more starter kits since then, stocking up for whatever happens with the FDA. I do recommend the 510, it does what I wanted it to do. It is a high performance e-cig. I still have all of my batteries working though the first 2 I bought do not last as long as they did when new. So that is my experience so far. I hope this helps.

Well, I was a 3 pack per day smoker and I use mine pretty heavy. I'm not sure how "heavy" you mean. It produces a lot of vapor and goes through liquid and batteries fairly fast. My batteries usually don't last more than 1 hour so I usually leave home with at least 4 batteries and a portable charger. I hope that is what you are looking for. If you need more than that you should look at the Janty Stick, Screwdriver, or Prodigy.

I started with 801 penstyle which I didn't like, moved to 901 which I liked, but 510 became my favorite the moment I tried it. I think I am a heavy vaper and vape more than I used to smoke. I have three 510 kits, all with manual batteries, and around two dozen spare atomizers. Didn't like buying all that stuff, but when I started with 510 the atomizer would last me only three days or so before I learned about doing any maintenance to prolong their life. Now one atty will last me over two weeks I think. But for most people atty will last much longer. Some measure the lifetime in months.

I also get really short usage from the batteries. But I ordered the prodigy so that should fix that issue.

You will find that attys will begin lasting longer as you become more experienced with vaping. New vapers (and even some not so new) tend to do all sorts of things not conducive to atty preservation.

I wish I could offer a course where those that 'destroy attys in a week' could pay me money to watch how they do it, because it is most likely due to the sucker - not the suckee.:D
