Ok I just pulled the trigger on a couple. they better be as good as everybody says they are or I'm gonna be MAD!!!LOL

LOL, my love/hate relationships with attys has been documented for over a year now.
For me the HH takes the hate right off the board.

I now own 6 of them and considering getting a few more while there available.

LOL, I need 6 just to keep one on each REO ...... that leaves me kinda thin.

I always have my one aluminum (Grand) going with a carto but lately most of the woods have 357s on top.
One Woodvil is always 6v with a carto though.

No more REOs needed until the VV though.

Its funny the last 4 HH-357 attys are the only vape purchase I've made in about 8 weeks.
Never gone that long without vape mail since I started vaping 2 yrs ago.

I have 6 of them also, and I don't even like them that much (yet!) -- how crazy/stupid is that?! I picked up a couple in October -- they were 1.5 ohm, and they spit juice into my mouth like crazy. (I have seen the "stuff a bridge into the drip tip" video but haven't had much luck with that yet.)

After waiting probably 2 months, they were back in stock last week (as was shared here) so I figured I better grab some more while the supply lasts because I really wanted to try the 2 ohm (at 3.7v) and the 3 ohm (at 5v and 6v). I was primarily hoping that my previous "spitting difficulties" were related more to the low resistance and my liquid choices than to my inferior technique. I also wanted to try the long barrel version, which does seem to help considerably; but, they are not available in anything but 1.5 ohm.

They are obviously very very good atomizers when they are working correctly, but they are also very fussy and I haven't mastered the ability to vape uninterrupted for (say) 10 minutes without getting juice in my mouth. A spare microfiber towel is still must-have equipment when using these so that I can reject any juice that ends up in my mouth! What is a normal squonk on a "regular" cisco 306 seems to always flood the 357. The required pressure seems to be so light that it can be hard to tell when you've actually done anything at all.

The other tricky part is that drawing HARD seems to be useful in that it produces enough vacuum to keep the coil wet enough... but this is complicated by the fact that, if you have overfed/flooded it, that same hard draw is capable of putting hot juice into your mouth in rapid fashion -- sometimes so deep that you have basically already swallowed it. It can actually get juice into your mouth without voltage even being applied if you are reckless!

Another quirk that seems to be 357 specific: you have to watch out for getting a very hot/burned hit if you set the REO down for a while and then pick it up after an hour+ expecting a good hit. (My other atomizers are much more forgiving and generally work fine under the same circumstances.) The 357 seems to want either a squonk or at least some mild suction to get the coil wet again first, presumably because gravity has taken its toll during the extended break. This is a lesson that you will learn very fast because the dry hits will absolutely choke you (and not in the good way.)

While we're on the topic, does anybody know some good drip tips to use with these that have a little bit more length than the standard pawn, etc.? I was excited to see a recommendation for the "universal" in this thread, but checked that out and they are out of stock.

I got my first HH357 1.5 ohm shorty 3 1/2 days ago. I am using it with a Grand with 66/34 pg to vg mix at 24mg. Batteries are AW IMR 18650s. It is a DIY mix with menthol. I only have one Grand so this atty gets used 24/7...no rotation with other attys.

It took me roughly 2 days to get it working well. I was ready to give it up but because of its high cost I stuck with it. It it had been a 7 or $8 atty I would have put it in my backup box. It was a struggle.

I didn't get any of the spitting but I sure got lots of juice in my mouth. When its dry it burns hard. It also give a metalic taste when its low on juice. Because the dry hit is so hard this atty seems to give less of a warning that it is dry than previous attys that I've used. I would then do blind squonks to juice it back up then have juice in my mouth from flooding it. This was the major problem I had. I just kept trying but couldnt get it to vape consistently. It was either dry or flooded but when it was right it was so good. I noticed that when blind squonking I could not feel a pressure difference nor would it gurgle like other atomizers did. It was the fussiest atty I've ever had.

Well into the second day things started to level out. I now squonk most of the time by looking in the juice well and on occasion blind squonk. On occasion it still floods but not nearly as much as before. It took perseverance to reach this point but when you spend that much money I think the motivation is greater to make it work. I would never recommend this atty for a beginner. Its can be a challenge. I don't know how much the improvement in performance is caused by the "breaking in" period or by learning the nuances of it.

The draw has tightened up to be just perfect for me. It feels smooth and even. Short medium to hard draws are good. If its a little too wet if I hit it too hard then the old juice in the mouth so when its a little to wet a ligter draw works to get a vape thats all vapor and no juice in my mouth. Flooding has become rarer.

As far as vapor, its a volcano. I've never had an atty come close to this. The vapor is huge, smooth and full. It feels like it has volume.

As far as flavor I am using menthol only so I can't make a judgement on that. I suppose the usual tobacco flavors at low ohms and higher for sweeter juices woud apply.

My juice consumption has gone up. I would usually use 3-4 mls per day and now its around 5-5 1/2.

I don't want to clean it because I am afraid I'll be back to what it was in the begining. I like the draw now and its become a consistent, good vape.

I hope it last for a good 6 weeks for me. I don't have a lot of cash to throw at attys if it doesnt last that long.

To me its the best atty I've used, bar none.

Well thats my review and initial impressions of the HH357.

That review was perfect. You should post it in the HH .357 discussion thread. :thumb:

Thanks Tripp,

I forgot to mention in there that I think these attys will be vey good with the VV Reo or the Kick. I think the consistent watts will go a long way evening out the vape with the it.

I have one I have used three weeks now and it's been great. The other one, which I only have two weeks on, seems like its getting clogged. It also gets a lot hotter than the first. I cleaned it and its still the same clogishness. It vapes fine, just gets really hot and whistles. :)

Anywho, I ordered another 1.5 (in maroon for my Bloodwood Maple 18490) and a 3 ohm to try at 6v.

Thanks for the review, I'm not discounting your observations at all .... trust me.
But I wanted to ad my 2 cents in red to show how two people can have exactly the opposite results.

Mine worked great from moment 1

I find its the most mild best tasting dry hit atty I've used

I've found because of the sound I get a great warning, I can actually now count down the hits 5-4-3-2-1-add juic
I would then do blind squonks to juice it back up then have juice in my mouth from flooding it. This was the major problem I had. I just kept trying but couldnt get it to vape consistently. IMO its the only atomize I am able to blind squonk and actually needs a light blind squonk to avoid overfilling

Agree 100%

My juice consumption is cut in about half best I can tell over a Cisco LR 510. I give it the tiniest of blind squonks and get 7-8 good hits.

I don't want to clean it because I am afraid I'll be back to what it was in the begining. I like the draw now and its become a consistent, good vape.

Thanks again for your review I am sure it will be helpful. I really put this up just to show that like so many things in vaping 2 people that know what they are doing can get drastically different results somehow.

Have a good one

Hello Tim.

I had read your review and knew there were differences in our findings. It is strange how that works. But having said that we can both agree to how good these attys are.
