AVS TANK PART threads messed up

hey guys i need some help.. some how on my alu GG with the AVS tank the avs tank its self the threads that screw into the collector are smashed down/stripped causing it not to properly screw on.. which in turn causes it not to fire.. im at a total loss here cause i can find no where that sells the tank part and no place sells it...

any help would be great i will post a pic in a bit

You might be able to chase the threads with a metric die, if there's enough meat on the stub

Wow, I've never seen that.........the tanks are super-hard to find but it looks like that might be shot........maybe Para might have a solution, PM him and ask?

it happened when i changed the 901 adapter to the 510 for the atty in the tank....

....that's my best approach as well. Based on the pic I'd say you've got a good chance to work them back to shape. You'll have one shot at it so take your time. The key will be to get it started correctly....if you don't the die will chew them up instead of shape them up.

The AVsV2 bottom is larger than the AVSV1 -- are you sure you screwed in the correct connector? Maybe it got deformed when screwing in? Just spitballing here.......

i bought this one and it does not look like in the picture it has a bigger ring like the 901 on their site... looking at it thats prolly what happened............................................... lame

just a update i talked with GG and he said there's nothing he can do cause there no longer made,,

well there is nothing he can do to get my old AVS up and running which saddens me cause i love the thing

I understand I would be super bummed if my AVS died for some reason. But it is nice to know he is taking care of you.
