Hi Riverboat,
Actually, with the 10440 batteries you want a charger with a max output mA of 250 and under, anything higher shortens the lifespan of these small batteries. Also the chance of thermal venting is a danger with a output of 500mA, which is what most of the multi battery chargers are rated at. Thus get one made specifically for them. Soshine makes one and also the Ultrafire WF-138b, which David carries. Not to expensive and worth it in the long run.
Wow! Excellent information!
When (not if, WHEN) AW supplies some 10440s I'll be sure to pick one up!

AW has no ETA on ICR 10440's. I almost have a feeling they are not going to sell them anymore as we've wanted them for months to no avail. If I get any new info, i'll let you know.

That's bad news as I just received a P+ 10.... David can you take a look at these 10440 batteries please... Do you think they will work in the P+10? I know they have to be the correct length... Batteries : Efest IMR 10440 350mAh They are IMR 350 mah 10440...

AW is selling Soshine brand 10440. He has an update on one of the flashlight forums, that he is using them. These are the ICR. The efest are terrible. I have 4 of them. Brand new they act like an old battery, as far as heating up and not being able to handle the drain. Have the AW Soshine and they are awesome! They fit and power my P10, just perfect.

Xtar VP1 can also accommodate the 10440s and charge them at 0.25A. Last time I checked, David still had them in stock.

I love my Pila but it cannot charge 10440s... I ordered a Ultrafire WF-138B Charger which will work for the 10440s charging them @ 250mah... I really like the Xtar VP1 since it has different charge rates....Will it charge a 26650 battery like the Pila can one at a time? If so I am in for one since the VP1 can charge at 1 amp......

Really no one knows? Can a Xtar VP1 charge a 26650 1 at a time? Am I going to have to order one to find out for myself?

I just tried one off the shelf, you could maybe get one to with some washers or what not, but it would be a pain to get it to make good contact.

Finally someone chimed in....Thank you Forcedfuel50:) I am trying to get down to two chargers...my Pila charges everything(including 26650) except the 10440 @ 250mah.... I like smart chargers that use Algorithm(CC.CV) Charging systems... that's why I was looking at the XTAR VP1 to go along with my Pila....

I was only able to compare them to some old, possibly tired AWs. I got a fresh batch of the Joye 10440s last week, and testing them side by side with the older (> year) AWs blew them out of the water with real time measurements. I'll get back with you later after work with specific numbers.

I have both the new AWs and the Joyes...Test results are about equal....Wow does the P+10.1.5 ohm HH357 hit hard now!!!
