I have a quick question. I received a Precise 10440 in a trade. I don't have any metal washers on the switch (it did not come with any). I do have an o-ring in the bottom of the unit. It's not a plus unit. The batteries he sent me do not fit (too short).

I'm just about to order the IMRs on the site. Hoping they fit without any problems?

Also, do I need metal washers or are those just to adjust the switch throw?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. if your thinking about buying one, just do it! They're incredible in person and a very classy PV.

Sounds like you have one of the very first ones, those had a longer battery chamber and only fit the Protected Trustfire/Ultrafire 10440 batteries, the IMR and ICR 10440 don't fit as they are a shorter battery. Send me a picture of the switch length wise and i may be able to tell for sure what model you have. Send to: supertmanufacturing@yahoo.com

Thanks David. It does have brass on the top cap.

Then you most certainly have one of the first Precise 10440's that came out if the IMR/ICr 10440's are loose in there (about two years ago we last carried that model) It will only accept the Protected 10440 Trustfire/ultrafire 600mah (those actually test around 275mah so they are overrated, no surprise). I am out of those batteries, but i think deal extreme carries them.

I've tossed around some ideas, maybe just a button change to utilize a typical locking ring seen on many bottom buttons. Obviously, the big boy P+ mechanism won't fit in the much smaller 10440.

This would be great for those of us that prefer the smaller form. It's only gone off in my pocket a few times, but I'm always thinking about not bumping it, which is annoying. I know there are several projects in the works, just don't forget about the little guy...:)

Hey guys! I think this might be exactly what I am looking for -- I need a "classy" device that I won't get too much (negative) attention for at work (people make the weirdest assumptions when I pull out a bigger mod) and this looks perfect. Question: Do the 10s have the locking bottom switch?

Nope....too small for the P+ lock switch

Yeah, the 10440 is the only mod we carry without a locking button, it's just too small to fit its bigger brothers locking mechanism in.

Still looks like a fantastic mod, especially for the small form on the 10440 -- its about the same size a your standard kr808 right? i saw on the site you have a few left, is that still true? is the main difference between the special purchase models just the aesthetics of the aluminum vs all stainless steel?

yes, the difference is the aluminum body vs the stainless steel, both have stainless steel top caps. The aluminum makes it lighter. I think i have two left.
