I thought a picture might help.

I see, it appears that the AW 18350 battery is too long. It isn't.

It's just the spring is tight and these new springs are pretty hefty. You should be able to turn the end cap more -- or just use an earlier ProVari end cap, with a lighter weight spring.

Great pictures. I do see the difference and can also tell you that it is normal.

I also have experienced that the newer model hefty springs can be tough to put on, especially when no extension ring attached (18350 mode) and when using button top batteries....as the recommended AW's are. Several have commented on it with the P3, which uses the same bottom caps.

I believe the hefty spring was made so the mods can use both button top and flat top batteries. Therefore, it is bigger and stronger with lots of flexability.

In 18350 mode it's easier and more convenient to use a 2.5 standard end cap.

As the threading on all the ProVari models is the same, items like this can be interchanged if one desires.

Clean the threads on the mod and end cap.

Also, use one of those rubber jar openers to get those last few threads tight.

The big spring can make it hard to get the end cap tightened all the way down.

Don't force it though. Work the threads back and forth a bit to make sure you are not cross-threading.

It gets better with use.

I have one for my 2.5. If they could coat it to match the stealth I would jump on it in a heart beat! But it wouldnt be stealthy with a silver bottom cap. LOL! (I may ask them to see if they can!)

Just go ahead and grab one! Once you feel/see that matte finish and tinted low light screen you'll he hooked! The pics don't do it justice! It feels and looks just like the finish on my Glock! Its awesome!

Oops...

I actually bought end caps for both of my Stealths. I never thought about the bottoms not matching until now. doink. In my defense, all of my Prothingys (except Precious Thrice) are in Serenity Gear sleeves, so I don't see the bottoms anyway.

Original full-size Stealth ~ Stealth mini 2.5 (in Serenity Gear & nekkid)

So I got an email back from Provape. They said that because they cerakote stuff in large batches and the end caps were such a limited item it wouldn't be financially feasible (I guess) to do it. They suggested I take it to a gun dealer/refurbisher and see if they can do it. I have an extra one AND a guy here in town that does it!

I'm going to take it to him on Monday and see what he can do!

Sorry for the thread hijack ayopassthat.
