I see the Blu e-cig brand at the local Walgreen's drugstores. How can they sell them at such a large chain store and be a rip-off?

My local Walgreen's drugstore carries Blu and Nfinity.

What is your opinion on Nfinity? They seem to be popping up everywhere.

I have seen the Blu disposables at a local store too, for $9.99 each. In my experience with the disposables, they claim it is the same at 2 packs of cigarettes when it is more like 5 cigarettes tops. That's the rip off. False advertising.

What price should I expect to pay for a good quality e-cig?

Let's compare here:

BOSS wants $140 for 2 batts, 5 cartos, and the chargers.

Bloog gives you the same thing for $50 http://bloogplanet.com/deluxe-starter-kit-maxx-fusion.html
SmokelessImage(Volt) has it for $45 Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Volt - Standard Starter Kit - Starter Kits
Halo has it for $55 G6 Basic Starter Kit - G6 E-Cig
Smoov has it for $60 Smoov 78mm Dual Starter Kit - Black

Add in the fact that all the options are established vendors with proven customer service and product quality, and the answer is pretty clear which are superior. The Volt, Bloog, Smoov, and Halo also offer options such as PCCs and passthroughs that BOSS does not.

Chances are the BOSS ecigs are unregulated Gen. 1 batteries, whereas the Volt, Bloog, Halo, and Smoov are all regulated Gen. 2 batteries. Unregulated means that the ecig will run hot fresh off the charger and cool off as you vape on it. The regulated batts will stay consistent as far as power output throughout the charge cycle.

I have heard of another one called Fifty-one. Are they high quality?

Also, how do you know if you are getting Gen1 or Gen2 batteries?

I have never heard of Fifty-One, so I can't comment on it.

You really just have to ask the individual vendors whether they carry Gen. 1 or Gen. 2. If they can't tell you or don't know, walk away. Or ask here on ECF.
As I said, the ones I listed before are all Gen.2 regulated. The only other vendors I can think of are V2Cigs and Vapor4Life, and all of their batts are Gen. 1 unregulated. That should cover all of the major slim ecig vendors out there.

Fifty-one is a trash unit, stick with the newer Smoove, Bloog, smokeless Image or others that are top units in these sizes if you want an ecig the same size as a real cigarette, just know your not going to get as good of a vape as some other high quality units out there. Other wise bump up to an Ego 1000mAh or 1100mAh Batt, these stay charged way longer then the smaller typed ones and you can throw anything on them your heart desires.
