oh, JustaGuy, Rodent Park. Cracked me up. And I used to (in 8o's) live in Salem! worked as a Disc Jockey, KBZY. :) Swear it rained 10 months out of the year. Best supplier for you for the KR808's?

Welcome to MadVapes LLC sells hardware, including 808s at good prices. E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings also has good prices (don't forget to get 20% discount), but I'm not sure if they carry 808s. I kept my V2 set as a last resort backup, but I'm actually using the Joye 510 series, which seems to have a lot of parts available, am using Riva 510 750 mAh (fatter batt) supplemented by little 510 batts.

Yeah, I'm south of Eugene, which is where some of the rain clouds stop. The weather is a lot like RP, more clouds of course, dreary for 4-5 months out of year. No beating Bay Area weather...except when I lived on Oahu! :)

Edit: reason I got the fatter Riva510, an eGo clone, was I got tired of the batt charging marathon. The little 510s only lasted 1.5 hr max. KR808D-1 lasts a little longer, but I'd committed to 510s.

Edit2: you said you wanted more vapor. Is that literally vapor or taste? The amount of vapor depends more on juice, PG vs VG, than equipment. I get lots of vapor with tiny batts vaping 100% VG juice, but there's possibly less flavor, pending exact juice.

My thoughts on V2. I started with V2 and sucessfully have quit analogs. That being said, they have had cartomizer problems with the carts burning too quickly. Unknown if it is not enough juice in the carts or the extreme temperatures during shipping etc. Bottom line, the carts are not lasting as long as they should by far.

Customer service response to the issues were somehow to blame the customer if possible. I like V2, but will not order again until the cartomizer problems are fixed. Since then I found that Johson Creek juice is working for me. V2 will later this year market their juice which I will try if the price is right.

My advice is to go to the site and read the entries in the forum. Then you will see what I am speaking of. Good luck!

I switched to vaping 4 months ago using a starter kit from V2. They certainly are pricey, but that warranty was compelling enough to go with them. The customer service was good, the order shipped fairly quickly and everything worked, so no complaint there either. However, I gained a better knowledge base and started seeking a bigger vape, so I made a 5v box mod after only one month. Now I loan out my V2 stuff to friends who want to try vaping and are awaiting an order from a company of their choosing.

Also, don't forget that the warranty expires if you don't order carts at least once every 90 days.

Anything that gets you off cigs is a good kit IMO. Even the gas station pvs work for some people. I don't necessarily think it's a kit I'd recommend to people considering the price. There are other pvs out there that give a lifetime warranty on batteries. The Smoke Tip does also and that's $59.99.

If I was going to get a mini, I'd probably pay as little as possible because most people only use them for a short while. Or sometimes long time vapors that have knocked down their nicotine levels dramatically might like something like this. I doubt if it's a good pv to recommend to someone who's a long time smoker trying to quit and has already tried a KR808 and it hasn't worked for them.

Ha, I just remembered, bought V2 kit during big sale back then, 30% off. They come around frequently, so if anyone does think about buying it, don't pay full price if you don't have to.

Edit: it cost me $60 for my 2-batt V2 set at 30% off. That's comparable to Bloog Max Fusion and others, not the cheapest but not too bad.

Well I suppose we can refer to whomever it is that we feel is worth it. And in my case, I feel V2 is a great company. Especially for a noob. We all have our opinions. I have found deals on 808 batteries elsewhere and had them cack on me within a week. The low price didn't impress me much when there was no way to replace the money I spent.

I may have spent a little more for my V2 batts. But the one time I had a problem with a batt, after buying at least 5 of them from them. I had a new one sent out to me immediately, and a replacement envelope included in the product envelope for the defective unit. I feel confidant that I am covered at least 4 more times if something like this ever occurs again

And that was important to me as a noob

Maybe many people do move on to mods and such. But many of us are still happy with our 808's, and likely won't switch to whatevers all the rage these days.

I'm glad that there are two such companies that will make me happy. I hope some of V4L's flavors get stronger and then I will be a happy chic. Their Blueberry Cobbler is the bomb diggity. mmmmmm

If you like it, that's all that counts.

I think sometimes people overlook the actual question being asked and jump right in with their recommendations because it worked for us. I'm guilty of this too. I'm extremely happy with my ego and recommend it to everyone. Is it the perfect fit for every person? Doubtful.

In this particular case, the OP asked about a v2 for them. Keep in mind this person already said they have tried KR808s and it didn't work for them. They were a long time smoker. Knowing that, another KR808 isn't a good fit regardless of how much you and others like it.

I was a long time, heavy smoker and it wouldn't have gotten me off cigs when I started. My Mom tried a KR808 when she first started and needed to bump it up to quit. Now that she's been vaping, she still uses the KR808 from time to time. Her cig addiction is gone and she's down from 36 mg to 6 mg nicotine.

For some people it's a great fit and they quit cigs immediately. In this case, this person had a KR808 and it wasn't. Recommending another one to this person is pointless.

I'm not trying to criticize a pv you're obviously happy with and I'm really happy that you like it, honest!! Just in this case, for this person they might need a little more.

In all fairness the OP didn't state that he currently had kr's until ppl had already started responding. His original post was "Anyone heard of V2 Ecigs??", not I need something stronger as I already have one. Of course responses would be diff if he would have included that important bit of info in original post :)

also got off normal ciggs with v2, think there a great company, and have had to send stuff back to them for repair/replacement, they usually send you new battery's first and you send them back the old ones. they seam to be a great company.

I think ecigs are a true miracle regardless of what type you have or what cost. I spent so much money trying to quit- patches, chantix, zyban, gum, patches. None of it worked and I thought I'd die smoking. My mom has COPD among other things and never thought she could quit.

We both did when we started vaping. It might take time to find the right fit and the right juice but it's all worth it.

My first pv was an apollo disposable. If I had the money I'd have ordered them box the carton. I loved those things.

Hey all. I went to our new, local ECIG store yesterday and got to test-drive the Ego. LOVE IT! Bought it, along with some empty cartos and car charger. with discount, under $50. It is by far, the best ecig I've tried. (and i've tried many). Tons of vapor and smooth, and one charge will probably last 3 days. It's only the first day, so I'll monitor and report back. But a great investment. Now, if I can just find some Zero Nic VG cartomizers online. ANyone know of a supplier?
