I hate any tube mod, kept knocking them over and as PTs with the cord out the bottom, they are useless, you can't set them down without leaks. All my box PTs have the cord out the side. Thinking about glueing some bases on my boxes, practical is better than pretty.

Great minds BJ...which is why I built this, my UPTDU (universal pass through device unit :p)...it does it all.

My line is still in Croatia at last tracking check but it's coming (my other Line is 3 days behind it:2cool:)

did you machine the plate for the top or is it something readily available? I have some of these boxes on the way and I want to cut one down, but don't know what to do with the top.

I measured and drilled the holes, then I sweat soldered the atty con (center pin and bushing removed) the drip cup I machined and the plate all at once then I shaped it to fit and epoxied in place...not the easiest but doable...

If you see how I did the top plate on this one it's way easier to do but you have to change the slider direction from up to down.

I am not to that point yet LOL. I am still waiting on parts so I can make my first mod.
