So I just got my old goat bottom feeder today, and I've been using it with 1.8 ohm cisco 306s. The first atty i tried give me a metallic burnt taste no matter how much juice I fed, so I let it soak in alcohol. I tried my other 306, and it was a bit better but I really can't get the jist of it. If I squonk too hard, juice leaks, and if I squonk lightly I dont feel as if juice gets to the atty. Am I supposed to squeeze the bottle and hold it squeezed, or just give it a pump? I don't know if its just me, but I can't take 2 drags one after another without it tasting burnt and metallic-e. Can you not chain vape using bottom feeders? I know it has to be a user error, but I can't seem to wrap my head around it.

I've found that, if you use cartos on a bottom-feeder, it works best if you fill the new carto exactly as if you were going to fit it to an eGo fat battery. Use the condom method or the spin method to make sure the filling is totally saturated.

Then you squonk the bottle when you sense the carto beginning to dry.

Old Goat mods are no more finicky than other bottom-feeders.

FWIW, I've put atomizers on all my bottom-feeders (Old Goats, a Rio Grande, a Rio Mini and two Phidias Feedimuses). I get better flavor on them than I did with cartos. And the atomizers last almost forever, if you're diligent about cleaning them frequently.

K, sorry to hijack the thread, but hoping someone gets this. I'm trying to get an old goat in a trade... I've never used a bottom feeder. Thinking its the 3.7v, cause she didn't specify anything else. I read in another thread that they don't do well with 1.5ohm dual coils. Anyone know how I'd fare with a 1.7ohm single coil?

Yay orachel, you're gonna love that oldgoat bottom feeder! I know that you love those lil itty bitty shorty 1.7 carto's too, so I'm gonna suggest you try one of those on there--that's what I use on my oldgoat and my Reo mini, and I love em!! BTW my oldgoat is pink too, with black splatter---it's darling!

I'm so darned EXCITED about it. I wasnt looking, and sure didn't have money to spend, but I tripped over it in the PIF trades. Perfect! And yeah, really excited to try the super shorty 1.7s on it. Seems like they'd be perfect, cause there's not a whole lot of 'filler' to be saturated. ;) I was a little hestitant to try em, till you piped up, so thanks!

I hope you love it as much as I do! I love those little shorty's, so much so that I found some 2.0 ones and ordered those too, well---not sure if I like them as much, today my lil Reo was a simmerin' spittin' mess into my mouth each time I tried to vape it, I think the 2.0's might be a lil much...or maybe it's just that particular carto--I've got 19 more of them, so I'll try a new one tomorrow, lol

Charleslee.... I just LOVE mine!!! Flat out love it! Its so intriguing and by far my fave 3.7v mod. <3 for the Old Goats! lol But dying to hear how you like yours. And no... totally dead simple to use. Only thing is, you can't just give it a light squeeze.. you really gotta SQUONK it! lol

BTW, using mine with 'super shorty' 1.7ohm cartos by smoktech, single coils. Just perfect!

lol... and a friend of mine who I helped get started vaping is about to order one as well. They're just snazzy little pvs, at a very low cost. AND I just ordered some cisco 306 attys (always actively disliked dripping w 510 attys, but LOVING these so far) so wanna try those with the old goat. BTW, if you've got a boutique somewhere with your dig graphics, I'd love to see if you get a chance to pm me a link. My buddies and I are always on lookout for 'new to us designers', and the industry is SO huge its hard to keep track of all of em. lol But yeah, you can't go wrong with one for yourself and one for your buddy. Hoping both of you love yours as much as I do.

Just a thought what I did to get the hang of it is to draw on the tip as your squeezing and when you hear the juice hit you stop and vape away....:) you do this without the button pushed of course

Sent from my truck using 3 toasters a broken microwave and 6 rubber bands McGyver style......Chuck Norris aint got crap on me
