I use the rba deck on the subtank mini, it works fine if you don't try to put a fancy coil in, and still works good when you do, just a bit of a hassle tightening them down.
I do agree the subtank mini rba has been the most reliable tank I've ever owned. Claptons are a bit of a fight sometimes to get set in place but I remove some of the wraps and it makes it much easier only having only the core wire to set rather than the core and wraps. The wraps shift thus loosening the screws making poor contact and having inconsistent readings especially in TC mode.
Reminds me of all the times I failed in my attempts to quit. Blamed it on everything from I got aggravated to the power went out. Thanks to vaping could not find a reason to pick up the killer sticks again and never will.
If TFV8 coils were the only option on the market and nothing was rebuildable that would make sense to me. May i recommend branching out , perhaps trying a different tank & coil before giving up and going back to the death sticks .
