This has nothing to do with vaping but I have been experiencing a lot of lower back pain the last couple of days. Does anyone know of a good over the counter medication to take. It hurts so much that I can't even stand up or sit. I can only lay down and that still hurts a little bit. I have taken Bayer back and body medicine and flexerel prescription. What do y'all suggest. I really can't afford to go to the doctor. Thanks

I got two teeth removed a week ago Friday, and used zero Rx for pain. My magic combination is 400 mg ibuprofen taken every six hours, 450 mg acetaminophen taken every six hours, alternating at three hours. Heat and cold, whichever works. Then for back pain, all the different rubs and patches. Do you have a personal masseuse?

Yours sounds worse than mine. I had one like that a few years ago and it just took time to go away. Now I have a chronic ache. Ibuprofen once in a while, icy hot helps.

I started vaping while smoking a couple of cigs a day. My last 3 were about 8 hours apart and each one made my lower back tighten up and hurt. That was all I needed to quit completely. You might try less nic in your vape or less time vaping and see if that helps.

I'm a lifetime back pain sufferer. In my experience, it is mostly due to lack of exercise and it sounds like you might even have sprain your back (yep, that's possible and I've had that happen to me twice). No medicine will get your back to normal, it just kills the pain and it is the fact that you move that will bring things back to normal unless something is really out of whack. There are a few things that really work for me:

Have you tried Robaxacet? (If that's available in your area)

Hot compresses to relax the muscles, stretch for 10 to 20 minutes, then ice inside a towel (ice should never touch the skin directly) to lower the pain level.

Stretches: (you will probably not be able to do all of these or just to a limited degree at first. Stick with what you can do and stop the movement to the point before it becomes painful... or TOO painful in your case):

The leg "wiper" movement is a great start, I don't understand why it's not one of the very first stretches in the video.

Pulling both knees towards your chest (like in a fetus position while lying on your back) and keeping it there as long as possible is one of the best stretches for me when the pain is really bad.

The one with the ankle over the knee and pulling on the knee is also a great start most of the time. Just stop the movement at the point where you are comfortable.

I try to do all of these movements as often as possible (2-3 times a day when I'm really suffering) and after a while I can really tell my back is doing much better. Hope this helps...

Hi there, I have just had surgery on my back for a herniated disk, I had extreme leg pain prior to surgery for years, I couldnt stand sit, sleep it was bad, the best stuff over the counter for me was anything with as much codiene in it as possible voltaren is amazing as well, once you see a doc get some lyrica into you, it makes you tired but reduces the pain immensely , also try some anti inflammatories creams on your back, like deep heat
