My wife has got the istick 30 with a nutilus mini, and it's working great for her. I wanted to get a back up mod, in case something goes wrong with the istick.
I can just get another istick, and be done with it, but I thought she might like one of those round mods, kinda like a Spinner2 or something, for when your out and about, and it's a little more portable.
Any thoughts?- suggestions?

hello branch. I got an iStick 50W as my first mod when they first hit the shelves. I also use the Nautilus Mini's. I purchased a 2nd 50W because I liked the first one so much, the 4400 mah is impressive. I had been using the Spinner2 prior, and I am going to give it to a smoker as a starter. Though the Spinner is nice, it's not comparable to the adjustable voltage and wattage of the iStick. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

A Spinner would be roughly the same overall length. The gain in portability would be marginally narrower. I'm not saying it won't be better in some ways, just that it's not much of a change in form factor.

I think if you have more than one device you'll have more options if the devices are substantially different. You have a box with an atty on top now. Maybe an eGrip would introduce more carry options?

IMO, if you can't use your backup PV for a hammer, and still vape with it, it isn't a reliable backup. Your backup doesn't need to be the best vape on the planet, but it does need to still work even if Hell freezes over.

My backup PV is 4 years old, it even fell out of my duck blind once, and spent a week in the mud at the bottom of Ogden Bay (my dog found it for me). Try doing that with your iStick.

So think about durability when choosing a backup.

Yea...mine didn't survive the melting winter sludge filled pothole...
That being said, the iStick is still a good unit. There's always the E-LVT if you want something that will stand up to a puddle or drops.

    My main two mods are:

    AltSmoke Silver Bullet (with RDA).

Provape Provari (with Kayfun Lite RTA)

Don't need anything else. Both are reliable, dependable, and nearly indestructible. Both are American made and can be returned to the manufacturer just should they break.

And, you can probably use that same answer 5-10 years from now.
