So I was getting all amped up for ordering a Provari mini with our tax return. I bought an Aerotank in advance thinking that would be the one I wanted. I've seen two versions of the Aerotank, one being totally smooth with a straight drip tip, the other having some extra grip on the base and a drip trip with ridges. I ordered one with the extra grip (I thought) and got the smooth one instead. Booo... well its been about a week since my Aerotank came in the mail and I've come to a conclusion. I don't like it :( Like really don't like it. I hate how easily the air adjustment ring moves. It knocks me over with the amount of vapor it puts out. I know typically thats a good thing and some people like a lot of vapor productions and a good throat hit, well you'll get it with the Aerotank. That's not really what I'm looking for. Good vapor production, yes, but not feel like someone is punching me in the throat when I vape (okay maybe thats a little exaggeration) Bare with me I'm in the process of working through some confused feelings here. So yep, I don't think the Aerotank is gong to be for me. Enough that I'm tempted to really just sell it. It actually makes me a little sad that I don't like it, I had high hopes.

So this brings me to my next issue... the Provari that I was getting super amped up about buying soon. It occurred to me last night that I'm actually quite happy with my Mini Protank 2 and my Vision Spinner Rainbows (650mAh, 1300mAh). Hmmm... like I've really been liking them. I'm suffering from overload of too much information I think. I think it'd look silly with a MPT2 topper on a provari mini, with the adapater since the mpt2 is ego threaded. Well not liking the Aerotank has left me a little lost. I can't find another tank I love. Well I can... I'm really diggin the IBTanked stuff, but I really don't think I want to mess with cartomizers. I enjoy changing my flavors too often, another perk of the MPT2 for me. I really don't want these higher capacity tanks that are out there, the Aspire Nautilus (my husband got his in) sure is pretty... but that 5ml capacity is turning me off a bit.

So if I can't find a topper that I like... what's the point of getting a Provari when I already have a setup I appreciate? I really want one, at least I thought I did. Now I'm wondering if I shouldn't just get another MPT2 and another battery of two, some accessories and a BUNCH of juice, supplies for rebuilding our coils. Still a relative newbie into the vaping world and haven't even gotten into rebuilding my own coils yet, I will be though. I want a Provari, I don't believe I'd regret it in the end. What's the point of buying something else like that right now when I'm currently happy with what I have and still have more to get into with what I currently have?

I'm sorry for my rant and ramble, this just really hit me a bit before bed last night and I'm having a hard time working through it.

Hey, you don't have to get a provari! There are lots of other good tanks you can use on it, but if you are happy with what you have (and what you have IS a good option) then there is no need to run out and upgrade. You can save your money and either buy something vape related down the road, or spend it on clothes, purses, vacation, car payment, whatever. The next best vape thing is always coming out. Next month there may be something you just HAVE to have. You never know.

In all likelihood, the provari will be there if/when you decide you want one. They've been around forever, and I don't see them becoming unavailable any time in the near future.

Yea totally agree that if your current setup makes you happy than keep vaping away! If you really want to upgrade and not spend too much money, have you looked at a mvp2? Has ego threading and offers some more flexibility on VV/VW and has a great price on some sites! Will save you some money for other tanks or juices or even a few extra spinners!

If you're happy with what you've got...I was saving up for a provari myself, but then the shine edition of the mvp is coming out and like my mvp-so I went that route instead for now even though provari is supposed to be so great, I just couldn't see dropping the $ just yet for it, but that's me and what works for me-what works for you works for you as long as it's keeping you off smoking right? lol-I like my mpt2's and cheap smoktech carto tanks on the mvp2-maybe i'll get a provari someday, maybe not-still too undecided to commit to one yet

I really wasn't too crazy about the looks of the box mods... but I guess they really aren't that bad. I like the fact that its also passthrough. HUGE perk there and would stop me from needing to buy a passthrough since that is on my list... hmmm... It charges via micro usb? So I can use my cell chargers for it too?

As far as I know, you can. I use an old cell phone charger for my kindle and MVP interchangeably. It doesn't seem to have done any damage to either.

I have three ProVarii. I love them, they are my favorite mods...but...I stll use my twists sometimes. They are great little portable, no-fuss options that can go on a lanyard and keep your hands free! Plus, if you lose it, you go get another, no sweat.

You keep vaping what makes you happy, OP.

lol-I HATED the shape at first believe it or not-now I LOVE it-it fits in my hands nicely, has some weight/isn't fragile(which I need as being I am a klutz-lol), plus it gives a very nice vape and had the capabilities I wanted and needed. Yes, the passthrough aspect is a huge plus for me at home and at work-I've never charged my cell on it but I think others have(could check on the mvp owners thread for more info on that from people who have done it). the shine editions are pretty girly, I personally don't like the energy series, and even with the standard "plain jane" ones-you could invest in a wrap to upgrade the appearance-if you are interested, I really suggest the mvp owners thread for lots of info, also a thread for the shine series started too....we are in a state of waiting impatiently right now...

The Provari is mostly a value buy for someone that is going thru similar PV's ( Lavatube, VMax, Vamo ) quickly because they're hard on their equipment or have bad luck. Or simply a "Vanity" purchase.

Get one when you won't go into debt over it, and re-sell it if you don't like it.

Many, many, many ecig users don't have one, or any intent to purchase one.

    It's not a magic wand.

My wife is perfectly happy with her eGo Spinner and a Davide mini on top. I have a Provari with a Genesis style tank that I use around the house, but she feels it is too heavy and too big. There are times I agree with her, I have an eGo/Davide setup like hers for when I am out and about or at work and it really would suit my needs just fine if it was all I had.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Provari setup, but once the "newness" of the vaping experience wears off a bit, one starts to see the value of simple, small, and practical.

by all means, vape what works for you.

however, if capacity is your only reason for not getting tanked with ibtanked, you have to see this...

Q: How much do the tanks hold?

A: Note that the below is approximate and we are conservative with our numbers. We do not count what goes into the cartomizer and leave a little room at the top but these are very good estimates on how much liquid our tanks will hold.

    15mm HalfLing =
    15mm Standard=
    15mm XL =
    19mm HalfLing = 0.7ml
    19mm Standard= 1.5ml
    19mm XL = 2ml
    22mm HalfLing = 1.2ml
    22mm Standard = 3ml
    22mm XL = 4.5ml
    25mm HalfLing = 2ml
    25mm Standard = 5ml
    25mm XL = 8ml

Hello Australe and welcome to ECF!

Do what's right for you and what makes you happy. Honestly. :)

I do own a mini ProVari and I like it--but I bought it some time ago--when it was the best and the most reliable and the most advanced technologically APV on the market. Today, it's still probably the most reliable, but I'm not so sure about the most advanced. The old girl is showing her age. The only topper I can use on my Vari nowadays with perfect fit and no airflow and connectivity issues is my cartotank. My Kanger ProTank doesn't play well with ProVari--I have to use an airflow controller to make it work well. I'm not even trying to use my eG0-threaded heads on it--I hate adapters, and a couple of 510>eGo adapters I've tried are really bad.

If you like the form factor of an eGo-class battery with all the fun features of the MVP, get an iTaste VV:

Innokin iTaste VV (V3) Express kit - 101 Vape

It's the most advanced small battery, looks great, the square shape is fun, and it works as a passthrough! Can't go wrong with that baby.

    Good luck and happy vaping.

I've seen that the capacity of some of the IBtanked setups are right where I'd like them to be. I love the halfling tanks... What's kicking the IBTanked setups for me is switching to a cartomizer, after looking into them its just not for me. I require something rebuildable and though I know there are cartos out there that are rebuildable I'm just not crazy about dealing with filler and whatnot. I like to switch my flavors often and don't feel the cartos will allow me to do that without getting after taste from my previous juice. Thanks for the info though :)

by all means, vape what works for you.

however, if capacity is your only reason for not getting tanked with ibtanked, you have to see this...
