Im 1 1/2+ year vaper who has backslid since June due to increased stress, annoying gear and the high maintenance involved..

Basically I got sick of changing batteries, cartoz filling, cleaning and adjusting center posts..

I have tried the 1st gen eGo when they first came on the market over a year ago. I did like the fact that the battery would last long but the mega atty would leak, and there were issues with the batting in the carts that would burn and often need to be changed so I went back to kr808s

I need an honest opinion before I buy an eGo T.

Any leak issues? Can you carry extra & full tanks in your pocket without leaking?

Any heads up on common issues with this system would help me alot..

I have 5 Ego-Ts, including 2 650 mah, 2 1,000 mah, and 1 pass-through. I've gotten excellent service out of them since 2-2011 and all 5 are still in operation. I have two favorite configurations:

1 - Type B large tank (2 ml) - yes you can carry extra tanks and they don't leak. The Type B large tanks have caps for the ends, so there is absolutely no leaking - even carried in your pocket.

2 - Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer holds 5 ml and lasts a long time. This is my favorite configuration right now because of the performance and high capacity of juice that it carries. I haven't had any leaking problems with this either, but I haven't tried to carry extra carts in my pocket. I have a small travel case for extras when I go somewhere and think I might need more than 5 ml of juice.

There are many configurations of Egos these days, including clones and all kinds of other stuff that might or might not work very well. I recommend the genuine Joye Ego-Ts, and I'll give you some links to eliminate any confusion.

Here's a link for my favorite configuration - using a cartomizer instead of the tank:

eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer

If I was starting out new today with the Ego-T, I would buy the larger batteries (1,000 mah) alone with nothing else but a charger and use the Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer. So, here's a link if you want to buy the larger batteries separately.

I still like and use the Type B large tanks, but I prefer the Ego Mega Dual Coil cartomizer. Running an Ego-T with the EMDCC is cheaper since these carts only cost $2.49 each, and they last a long time. There's more to go wrong and more to replace on the tank system. I hope this helps you some.

I agree - don't get the knock-off. Go to CigNot.com. That's where I buy mine. I have had leaking issues with my type "A" attys, so I start a new one when one starts to leak. At about $18 each, it's still cheaper than the 601 pipe attys I used to have to replace. And it's still a hell of a lot cheaper than the 2 packs of cigarettes I used to smoke every day. I find that the atty can go without leaking for about 2 months. I never clean mine - once they get to where I have to blow them out to remove a build up of liquid, then it's time to replace them. I've started trying to use a tank until I get that slight burning taste and I know all the liquid is gone from the tank and the atty. It's something you figure out over time I guess. We'll see if that helps to extend the life of the atty.

But replacing atty's is a small price to pay if you ask me. I'm extending my entire LIFE by vaping instead of smoking. However, I would have prefered to have those extra years earlier in life rather than later!

I use one of those small bottle holder key-chain zipper case things that a lot of vendors sell online. They will hold three tanks, and although the tanks only leak if I don't put the cap on right, if they did, the little case catches the few drops that escape.

I'm using the eGo-T type "A" (cone style atty) with the 1000 mAh battery with the safety cut-off feature. I like that cut-off feature if I ever have to carry my ecig in my pants pocket. I was using the 601 e-pipe simply for the longer battery life, but those things have some serious issues. Thei eGo-T is like a vacation compaired to the 601 e-pipe. I've been buying my eGo-T's, extra tanks, batteries, and atty's from CigNot.com. Great service.

Be sure to check out the "exploding battery" thread. Just saw it tonight, and I ordered two LP-Guard bags. I had no idea that exploding batteries were a problem. I've been using my eGo-T for months and months - leaving an extra battery on the USB charger overnight and all day without a problem. But...better safe than sorry. It's not an issue that will keep me from using the batteries, I take a bigger life threatening risk by driving in Dallas traffic everyday.

Oh, and if you decide to use the eGo-T, my advice would be to get yourself one of those needle-nose bottles or a syringe to re-fill your tanks with juice. It's a heck of a lot easier than taking off that little tank lid every time you want to fill up.

I haven't been vaping for very long (less than 2 weeks) but I love my ego-T so much that I bought another one to mix and match parts with the one I have. I have a 1000 mah USB 5-click battery and LR atty type A. The amount of vapor that I get off of this thing is crazy. I can fill my car with vapor if I hot-box it and make it look like I was hitting some M.J. before the vapor disappears.

For my 2nd order I ordered a mega atty type B, a smaller 650 mah USB battery, and some Bud Atomizer Tank systems. I'm just itching to get my order so that I can put the LR atty on the smaller battery for carry use, and the mega atty + bigger battery for pleasure/hanging out use. Maybe I'll buy another battery unit for the Bud Atomizers, but I haven't decided yet (my wife is gonna kill me LOL).

I'm very curious as to how the Bud Atomizers will work and I saw a video on Youtube and they looked very convenient. Especially with the threaded cover that you can put an end cap or pen-clip cap on, it will be much easier to keep in your pocket without fear of getting it dirty or having something leak.

I may be a noobie but I know what I like. I say go with the ego-T.
