Man, everybody's gettin' Backwoods orders in the mail except me -- no fair! Hehe, I guess now that the cat's out of the bag about unsteeped Casa, I'll just tell you that the flavor reminded me of dirt. I'm not meaning that to be metaphorical or derogatory -- I'm being quite literal. I used to eat spoonfuls of it when I was a kid! Probably says a lot. At either rate, my tastes have matured a little bit since then, so after trying it unsteeped, it was a big "no way" for me and I stuck it away in the cabinet and sampled it every week or so until it got to where I liked it. That said, your assessment of it may be more accurate than mine because having sampled a fully mature bottle of it prior with no inkling that it transforms so radically, my emotional state was in flux somewhere between distraught and disgusted and I may not have been the best judge at that point. It continues to change for a long time, though. If you're curious, I did a little comparison (with visuals!) between a sample that was about 20 days old, and one that was about 2-1/2 months old here.

I'm a fan of both the Malty and the Malty Toffee. I get the impression that Malty is BWB's take on EcoPure Rich, if you've ever had that one. EcoPure Rich has a little more oomph! in my opinion and I like it just a little better, but Malty is considerably cheaper, so I buy it instead. Malty is clean and not overly complicated, and it's a nice change of pace now and then IMO.

That Pina Colada sounds intriguing and I'll pick up a bottle at some point in the not-too-distant future. My preference has tended toward tobacco flavors and other more straight-forward flavors while shunning anything sweet, fruity, or desserty, but a few juices I've tried lately (alien Visions' Hype, Halo's Belgian Cocoa, and Mom and Pop's Butterfly Bait) have impressed me so much that they've forced me to expand my palate a bit. Thanks for the review!

I can agree with your sentiments about Casa, Tez. I got a bunch of BWB juice off the classies a few months ago that was months old so very well steeped. Well, I loved quite a few of them so I put in my first order through BWB a few weeks ago or so. I got Casa again because I loved that sweet, cocoay, slightly spicy, deliciousness. But to my shock when I tried it upon reception, it tasted similar to dirt. I'm letting it steep for a long time so it can be delicious again!

I love love love Malty Toffee, the flavour is one I can vape all day long and not get tired of or change my mind about. I only wish it had a little more throat hit. My other faves are Strawberry and Hazelnut (separately and together). I mostly mix them together because they really jive but I do love them individually as well. My boyfriend loves Applewood, Watermelon, and Melonbacco. One I really cannot get into though is 555 Exotic. Maybe it just needs more steeping time but it is waaaay too strong tasting for me right now. Any thoughts on this?

I can say that BWB makes the most true flavours. What I mean is that they're exactly what I expect. Strawberry tastes like a fresh strawberry, not a candy, for example. I love that, leaves no guessing. If I could find out who they source their flavourings for Strawberry and Hazelnut for I would never tell a soul, but forever DIY in indulgent peace :nun:............

Tez, I am actually REALLY enjoying the fresh Casa. The cocoa is so in your face and isn't buried under the strong Turkish tobacco (I think that's what it is). Pina Colada is a fun flavor, as I like to call them. It's one that I will pull out every once in a blue moon just to change things up, but I would not want to be stuck with it 24/7.
If you like Butterfly Bait, you should check out Honeysuckle from Copper Creek. The flavor is spot on and there is plenty of it, as well as throat hit, which surprised me.

Chelly, you may want to check out FlavourArt's fruit flavors. Flavourart. La sartoria degli aromi The BWB website states that SOME of the flavors they use come from FA, so that would be a good start. Liberty Flights stocks a lot of FA flavors, so that might be an option as well. D.I.Y & Mixing - Flavourart eLiquid Flavouring
I know that they were getting at least one of the flavors for RY4 from LiquidXpress, so that might be another place to look, although they only have 16 flavors available, and not many fruit flavors at that.

Eh, go figure! I guess one man's dirt is another man's delight! I'm glad you enjoy it, and I won't try to "yuck" your "yum." I'll sample each subsequent new bottle of Casa I get, because my tastes are always subject to change. I guess my take-home point about Casa is that this is probably one of the most dynamic juices out there, and it seems to just keep changing. If you love it out of the mailbox, fantastic! If not, put it away for a week or two. Repeat this process until desired results achieved. I'm sure in time we will see that 6-year-old Casa puts all other Casa that hasn't steeped as long to shame!

Thanks for the Copper Creek recommendation! I've had my casual eye on them, and I'll check it out. If you even mention them in the same sentence as Mom and Pop's Vapor Shop, that's a good enough endorsement for me! I've had the BB, RY4 V2, and the Tobacco Haze, and they're all awesome. Mom and Pop's is rapidly working its way up my list of favorite vendors.

It will definitely mellow out with time. We talked about this a bit on pages 2 and 3 of this thread.

Still plan on posting my thoughts regarding BWB. I've had my hands full since 6-4-12, 12:30pm. My second daughter was born!!

:toast:

What I can say for the sake of remaining on subject here is that BWB hasn't let me down yet! Loving all three flavors. As of now, preference is as such:

1)Caramel Cap
2)Peach
3)Applewood

Sidenote: I filled one of my previously menthol filled go-tanks with Applewood and it's quite a good mix, :2c:

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, 3!!! That's fantastic!

BTW, if you enjoy Applewood with a hint o' menthol, you might like Halo's Midnight Apple. It's a nice, crisp green apple flavor with a fairly subtle menthol undertone that makes it really cool and fresh.

Also, I've said it before, but give that BWB Orchard Frost a shot at some point.
