... and you will. I have been testing for Isaac and have experience the same with my RY4 but not my blackberry Menthol. I believe certain flavours will denote this more than others. However, the ones I have used did not show signs (autopsy) of scorching of neither the sleeve or the batting, they simply are too hot for some liquid. What I did find out is that after a couple of days the carto became seasoned and do better on the 5V box, but fresh out of the pack and they are just too harsh, even though they are marketed for 5-6Vwell said! after the LR 306 atty, I can't even go back to the LR 510's on the eGo. Although I'm sure using the LR 306 attys are killing my batteries faster too. I got some HV 510 attys coming in a week or two for the box mod and the Ali'i. Iken's carto's work really nice on the boxmod though too, but I still get the occasional filler burnt taste with them![]()
That would indeed be correct. Yes we use them on the eGo, but no we shouldn't. The 650mAh bat delivers 0.65A current and a 1.5 LR atty draws 2A at 3.1V more than 3 times what the battery is capable of delivering. The 900mAh batt would be a marginally better choice. The minimum battery to be used for LR applications is a 14500 IMR batt which has a current rating of 4A
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ikenvape/118964-switcheds-battery-faq.htmlThe battery can handle it but is stressed in doing so = shorter overall battery life e.g it will die at 20 vs 60
My Janty eGo's still only take 2 hours to charge after 2 months use with LR's 90% of the time.
... and hence the problem. I didn't say you can't and don't I said you shouldn't. Many more versed individuals will back up this statement.
yea not trying to contradict you or anything, just sharing what i've experienced using LR atty's on eGo's
Just for the record my eGo batteries seem to have recovered from LR vaping. Charging takes 2.5-4 hours now which is close to normal. I suspect the hardware we own differs wildly, no QA, no way to guess how yours will perform under stress.
Your batteries do not recover from rock content. Rock content is depleted LI Ion, has no longer any capacity to accept a charge.
Whatever guys makes you happy, but beware your conclusions are not science, just random observations of randomly produced hardware. But I shall be silent from now on in this regard.

How do you clean your carto's out when switching flavours? I believe Issac told me all I need to do is to wash it out with hot water and dry really really well. I should probably try different juices then.... I actually liked the way it was out of the box with the waffle flavour I had, but after washing it out and trying to put in the same juice it just tastes burnt now and doesn't get as warm....
Fit,
As with my attys I simply don't. Folks are trying to be frugal and I am as frugal as the rest, heck just look at the BeGo, now that is extremely frugal.
I have found as you that once washed they never come back to where they were fresh out of the box, even with the same liquid. When they quit performing I simply toss them. I am still vaping some that I went to TO with, some are starting to taste stale and will be tossed instead of refilling them, once empty.
I do not vape my cartos at HV, with the exception of Beta testing Isaac's line. Because I do not vape the same carto day in and day out (except when testing), I change flavours. I would definitely place their life expectancy between 2-3 weeks, which IMHO is more than enough for something that is supposed to be used once.
As you know, all the gear I buy is carefully calculated. I take time to await for feedback and then take the plunge. I am extremely critical wrt performance, gear has to perform out ot the box, and must be well built. e.g the use of 3A switches vice 0.5A switches we see floating around. A device or carto may work fresh out of the gate, but how does it perform in the stretch. This is what I place my decisions on.
So for me, $0.07/day on average for a carto is money well spent. Did you know that the average individual spends on average $5-7/day on Timmy's? Just skipping a large dble-dble/day buys a lot of cartos![]()
BTW Don's Honey Flue at 3.5V and 2Ohm is the bomb![]()
Honey Flue is good at any wattage
I can't wait to try it with the Ali'i. It's A BIT harsh at 5V with the regular 510 atty, but I'm probably used to it on just a regular eGo battery with LR atty.
