I got an order of 510 cartos. The first one I opened was missing the two air holes so i couldn't use it. No big deal, I had 9 more. The next seemed to work fine but had a funny taste to it. I figured it was the new e-liquid I got with the order. Then I tried a different flavor in them that I previously used in regular carts. They tasted aweful. It's hard to explain, but it kinda tasted like the wick was burning and not the liquid. Very little vapor if any was being produced. I used up the next three out of the pack thinking I just got a bum carto but they were all like this. I also tried different methods of filling them on each (condom method, direct drip through the battery end, popping off the silicone end). I also let them sit for hours to soak up the juice. Has anyone else had taste issues with cartos or am I doing something wrong?

1) Where did you get them
2) What form of packaging did they come in?

JC Red Oak which is a mixture, but the others are all PG I think. They are Nicotine Nirvana Virginia and Electronicstix cappaccino.

I have used cartos for months and have never experienced what you have. I use the condom method for refilling with not problem. Most of my liquid are PB or a PG - VG mix.

Shoot a note off the the company telling them your problem, I think that you have some bad cartos there.

Problem solved. I followed a youtube demo that said to put in 15 drops. After shaking, spinning, and slapping the carto I was able to put in another 20 drops! 35 drops and now the wick is saturated enough to where the wick is not burning. 35 drops should last me a long, long while! The taste is now the same as the carts with a little more flavor and a little warmer. I don't have a burning poly taste anymore.

Thanks all!

My Eastmall cartos are excellent...no issues at all. I think you're safe.

Bianca -
That's good to hear. I've loaded one up with the crankiest juice I have - Marlboro 24 mg DawgeJuice from Donnie at the ecigarette co. in Harrisburg, PA. This juice seems finicky as to what delivery system I use, and cartos were at the bottom of the list. However, these Eastmall cartos seem to work very well. The Dawg juice is pretty tasty through it.

Yo OiiiiiOOo ee-ii-ee-ii-oh...
Thems the same ones I got from Eastmall, for .80 each. I just got home and loaded one up with some DawgeJuice and it worked wonderfully. As you said, I loaded 20 drops, spun it for a couple, then put 15 more drops in. That's been my standard practice since switching to cartos.
One other thing - JC's Red Oak juices are PG-free. I use the Domestic as an after-dinner vape because it's pretty sweet, but it doesn't work well in a carto unless I zap it at 6 volts in my SB. Then, it vapes like crazy but tastes kinda funky. 3.7 or 5 volt seems to be the best for the Red Oak juice.
