Burnt taste in Carto

Hi there,

I just switched cartomizers and I got this really strong burnt taste after 20mins. Can someone please help me?

What am I doing wrong? I used the condom method to refill my Boge carto. Tried refilling using the condom method again the moment I got the burnt taste but the foul taste is still there.

Please help

That usually comes with not having enough juice in your cartomizer.

There are many methods, but I tilt the carto at about a 45 degree angle and drip about 10 drops of juice. Give it a good thermometer shake, add 5 more drops or so, repeat until the cartomizer won't take any more juice and it starts to pool a bit on top.

Let it sit for 10-15 minutes. It takes awhile for the juice to make it to the bottom of the carto. If you have high ratio of VG, it takes longer to be absorbed.

You should get close to a ml in the boge cartos. Give it a good Taryn spin and see if you can add a bit more juice.

When flavor starts to drop off, make sure to add a couple drops of juice to the carto. That will also prevent it from burning. If you have a drip tip it's easier, because you just pop it off instead of trying to pry the end cap off.

Juice is prob too thick...or your hitting it too fast for it to rewick...I chain vape so I can't even use cartomizers because they won't wick fast enough with the rate I hit my PV even with 100% PG juice.

The first fill of a cartomiser is the most important one. Add some juice and then let it sit and then add even more and let sit for another short while. With larger cartomisers it helps if you shake it down like an old fashioned thermomiter to get the juice down to the bottom. Once you have filled it properly for the first fill topping it off is a simple matter of adding a few drops on the top every now and again. It really is worth the effort though to take time over the first fill.
