so i got some 2.2 ohm coils. like them better than whatever comes in the starter pack so i switch one out and my battery blinks 3 times...no result. worked fine on another tank. put the original coil back and it worked fine. put another new coil in and no problem. im assuming this is just a bad coil? how often do you get a bad one? or did i do something wrong? battery charge ok, wick was not in threading, all clean and water free.

It's possible you got a bad one. This thread: other-wicks-wth-coils has a lot of discussion on coils. There is a bunch of stuff on youtube also.

the ones that come in the starter pack are 2.2 ohms.
i would contact customer service, see what they say.
you might be able to fix it though, check the centre pin is in the centre.
then take the condom off, the press fitted metal top cap, remove the flavour wick and see if the coil is touching the side

Flashing light means a short, a short circuit, when you press the fire button. Your coil has a short.

Anyone can try this. Take a Halo Triton battery, short out the center with the threads (take something metal, and touch the center and the threads at the same time) and hit the fire button. The internal circuitry will sense too much current, ie. a short, and flash 3 times, or flash till you let go.

Like Chesty says, Contact CS.

And get yourself a nice digital self ranging multi-meter. Better yet, put it on your list, and let a loved one get it for you.

A POS but functional one at harbor freight for under $7, or a good one at Craftsman for under $30.
