So frustrated with this.

In September I bought a sigelei 30w tube mod for my birthday. One of the main reasons I bought it is it came with a year warranty, and having had a Vamo that failed, I wanted to make sure I was covered should something happen.

About 2 months later the mod failed. It would fire constantly whether the device was on or not. I contacted the seller who told me I would need to go through Segelei for the warrantly. I checked their website and called the number provided.

They asked me to send the device in for repairs to a Pamona CA address. At further cost to me, I sent it in. After several calls, where I was told they were reviewing the device, waiting on parts, and other various excuses, the number was no longer in service.

I checked sigelei's site again, and there was a different number for service. I called that number and was told the Paramount location was closed, and the new service location does not repair the 30w tube model, and I would again need to contact sigelei direclty.

After months and months of emails to them, they finally responded today, and informed me that the warranty on the 30W tube was not valid.

The entire email says
"Hi nathan, sorry the warranty for the 30w tubes is not valid. Sorry for the inconvenience caused to u. Hope we can get your understanding."

So in the end I spend over $100 for a device that lasted me less than 2 months.

Write back (or call) and tell them that they "can't get your understanding." Ask for a supervisor. Present documentation. This is clearly their fault and have to fix it. They should send you a new mod. Period.

Shame on them, really.

I wouldn't give up...

Just wanted to update this. After posting this thread, I emailed asMODus to have them return my defective device. To my surprise, Michael with asMODus agreed to honor the warranty and send me a replacement device. Kudos to asMODus, and especially Michael for honoring the warranty, even though Sigelei wouldn't.

Asmodus is a legitimate Sigelei dealer/warranty vendor that actually does take care of people.. This just goes to show you dont ever send anything to POmona.. I grew up (and still live) like 5 minutes from there.. Nobody ever wants to have go to Pomona for anything. EVER, not even the LA County Fair every year.

I have a Sigelei 30w, I also had problems with it and when I asked Sigelei for help they stonewalled me too. The design of the bottom battery cover, over time pushes the positive contact up into the screen housing. This means that cap has to be completely screwed down meaning no venting is available. They said this was user error rather than a design fault.
I'm sorry you are having problems with them too. I agree that you should keep being politely insistent they they honor the warranty as there is no valid argument for them not covering a complete failure like you have described.
