bad experience with a supplier what to do.

Ok i bought 2 items from a well known supplier here and the items were damaged or defective i pm him and he offered no help at all.
These were 167.00 and i was told to make one good one out of the two.
Now i dont really want to post names at this time i want him to work with me on this.
And would like some feedback from people here.
i can file a claim with pp also but his account will be closed because i wont lie about what i bought for someone like this...
