Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
Are you use to what you are vaping? Or has something there changed recently? Like switching from a Ego to a RDA, or you have`nt been not vaping for long? Is this your first time making juice?
The two most common signs of being over nic`d are headaches and or sour/sick stomach.

If its the wrong strength then its mislabled. But I think I would have noticed on the first vape. I keep it in the fridge and shake it well each time.
You never want to shake nic.
For one, there is no reason to do so, as the nic stays in suspension very well. Secondly shaking will introduce oxygen which is detrimental to nicotine.

I would side on those saying your vaping too high mg. Hence the headache. Freedom smokes has and has had some of the best/ cleanest nic available. Highly doubtful there is a mislabel from them, they were one of the first to create more awareness of the content and details on labels and datasheets.

To add, if you have been using pre made juices, with an RDA they should be roughly 1-3mg, freedom smokes is the real deal, so learn to mix properly, it takes surprisingly very little nic to reach 1-3mg NEVER vape straight nic, of any mg

Really? Because my nic says "shake before first use" on the bottle. :)

Interesting.
They must be mixing just before delivery, impressive.
At the same token, you should find out if it's productive to shake each time you pull some out for mixing, I would have to say no, for oxidation reasons. Once the bottle is opened, air / oxygen is introduced.

What mg / % or decimal nic do you have there?

Actually they do mix it just prior to shipment. At least that is what the website says. I get it from Wizard Labs in 100mg strength. it says shame before first use. I get the box from teh mailbox, shake the crap outta the nic then into the freezer it goes. I dont shake it after that.

I would request the same information from @MatchHead

Has anyone ever got bad nic? I've been getting headaches lately and I'm wondering if it's my new batch of nic.

Little Detail given - Strength?
Possible Distraction while mixing?
Equipment quality upgrade without compensating?
Excessive Vaping?
No Nic test kit?

Hmm.. Last month I had 4 migraines and I haven't had a migraine in 10 years. Maybe it was the juice? I never really thought about connecting the two.

Nicotine causes Blood Vessel constriction, so if you are already Migraine susceptible....
Same as smoking to much.

*MY* FreedomSmokes? That may have been the suggested site. ??
My thoughts
Haven't had any issues using them.

If you've read my thread 'DIY Disaster' in the DIY Liquid section, you'll no I've had more than my fair share of bad ingredients recently.

I now test the nic level of all my nic bases, no matter who the vendor is.

It's not the whole solution as you can still have contaminants in the nic base that are unwanted, but at least you know the nic levels are correct.

I haven't found a method to test the PG or VG beyond vaping a little of each straight in a dripper to ensure it tastes right, before mixing any batches. So I now do this as a matter of course.

The best solution I've found so far is to buy all my ingredients from one of the big brand name suppliers, and don't cut corners for cost saving.

I'm very happy with my current US supplier and won't be changing.

I respectfully disagree with not shaking your nic base. You want to shake it to make sure it is properly mixed equally especially if using a higher concentration. Think about if you should happen to buy a liter of 100mg nic base which you are wanting to separate into several smaller bottles for storage. You want to make sure it is thoroughly mixed so that each bottle is as consistant as the next. If you didn't one bottle might not have any nic in it and the other bottle might have way to much which could cause problems not only when mixing but also when vaping. You don't want to Vape 36mg thinking you have mixed 6mg. That's just my opinion. To each his own but I will always shake. As far as introducing oxygen into the mix...there is no more oxygen that's going to be introduced than what's already in the bottle, especially if you open it, and if you are using it anyway agitation is going to happen not matter if you shake it or not. The only way to minimize oxidation is to tightly seal the bottles, freeze, and do not disturb the bottles until you are ready to use. Oh...and keep away from light. Light, heat, and oxygen are your worst enemy when it comes to nicotine degradation especially during long term storage.
