When I got my first e-cig(blackhawk 510 kit) it performed great, throat hit was great, taste was amazing(well ry4 and menthol were the flavors i had), vapor was good, everything. Anyway the first 2 atomizers died after a week, probably my fault because I cleaned them every night because I thought it would make them last longer, which probably was why they died that fast.

Anyway all the other atomizers I have gotten have tasted bad or had no taste, I don't think its me, I did absolutely nothing different than when I first got the kit. Long story short, I've gotten atomizers from 2 different places and no juice has tasted decent besides menthol. RY4 would have no flavor and I had gotten a few other flavors that also had no or slightly bad flavor. I don't know what else I can do, or any reason for this.

Anyway have 1 more atomizer coming in to try and if I don't have any luck with it, I will probably try a Vaporking or Nebula cartomizer type deal, as it seems like it would be less annoying, and see if I can sell all the 510 stuff I have. If anyone has any ideas what I could be doing wrong, that could cause this let me know.

I am still learning here, but have had "JOY"! I have had some issues with attys; they have been all resolved. I spent a lot of time "fiddling around with attys and blowing them out" but since have gotten some new attys and need no fiddling with. I just invert them on a paper towel at night, and vape away the next day. I don't think you are doing anything wrong! I think you have gotten bad atty's multiple times, but thats just my opinion! There is a thread on the new members forum regarding cleaning atty's. I've tried it on the ones that were not performing well but don't know the results yet.

Ye, I'm hoping I just had bad luck with atties. Also, I know you need to keep liquids in a cool dark place, which I've been keeping them on my dresser, in my room. My room is usually fairly cool, not hot, but I have lights on a reasonable amount so I don't know if somehow light would affect liquids enough to make them taste bad, although I doubt it.

The storage is likely not the issue, you haven't had them long enough!!!! I'm responding not because I have a solution, but because I want to keep this thread alive and in the forefront so that someone with more knowledge than I will be step up with a solution. The main thing is; figure out a solution to the 510 or switch to another one...just don't go back to analogs!

Im pretty new here, but its possible what you are describing is the primer fluid in the atty when it get shipped to you. you can vape through it which might take 2 days or you can soak the atty in vodka for half an hour, then dry it off and blow on it from both sides to flush out any extra alcohol. I tried that out and it immediately cleared the nasty taste. However, I bought a sample pack of several flavors at 18mg strength and one coffee at 24mg. The 24mg coffee liquid is extremely harsh on my throat and there is barely any flavor. The other flavors were not very harsh at all but all seem a little light on flavor. the 18mg coffee was also more harsh than the others but not as much as the 24mg. It could just be a poor mix of juice. Ive heard some people here complain about major inconsistencies when buying the same flavor and strength of juice even from the same supplier. But, such is the world of no quality controls.:) I may start making my own liquid sooner than I intended.

510 atty's usually take a few days to break in. You probably didn't notice this when you started, but now that you've been vaping for a bit, it is very noticeable because you have certain expectations.
But don't expect a brand new atty to give the same amount of vapor, or flavor as the one it's replacing. Blow out the primer fluid on a new one, and take the time to break it in. Then you'll be a happy vaper again. :)

I've pretty much decided to sell my 510 stuff if I can, too annoying for me right now, maybe I'm just too impatient, but as I've given some atomizers 2 days to break in and taste not improving much, I've pretty much lost patience. I'm just gonna save and try and get a vapor king. Selling my 510 stuff here www .moonport.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=forsale (take space from between www and .). If posting that is against rules or anything a higher power can remove that part of this post.

510 takes 4 to 5 days to break in I have my first two attys and a new atty took that long for the new atty noticed it more then I did with my starter kit.

Did you blow out the primer fluid? It is NASTY and really makes anything you put in there nasty. Blow out the atty then drip 2 or 3 drops right onto the atty and then try vaping with it repeat the drops as needed try that for a day or two and you will be in love with your 510 again.

Update: was communicating with suppliers about my atty, problem, 2 sent me atomizers that were broken in. One tasted great, other still tasted bad, don't know what prob/difference was. One I got today is working great. Although right now one thing I'm noticing is I get tons of vapor and good taste with dripping. With cart its giving me very little vapor, but throat hit is good and taste is still good so I don't really care much, its working great right now. Anyway thanks for responses, but I will probably still pick up a VK sometime as it seems easier to work with and less hit and miss type deal.
