Bad to Good

Hi all,

Just started trying DIY a couple weeks ago. Not much luck yet really except for a close Tribeca which I got the recipe from here and a couple other places.

Been trying to make a DK-TAB like Aroma juice with absolutely no luck at all. Mine just smells like flowers. (using DK Tobacco Flavor from TFA. All of the flavors I have purchased are from TFA).

Anyway, Somewhere in all my reading thru the forums here, someone mentioned using a certain tobacco flavor or something to make almost anything vapable. I can't seem to be able to find that post again.

What I would like to do is simply add something to some of the premade juices I have purchased and didn't like, so they don't go to waste. Call me a cheap skate I guess...

They are all tobacco flavors I guess.

I have a Halo Freedom (yuck for me), Halo Prime 15 (not as bad as freedom, but don't like), Aroma juice G. I. Joe and a big bottle something most people have probably never heard of, Buck Naked Turkish Tobacco ( my first 2 10ml bottle were good so I bought a 30ml and it is terrible. Been letting it sit for 5 months and still yuck).

I love Aroma juice DK-Tk-tab, Halo's Tribecca, Liqua's Cuban Cigar Tobacco and Dekang DK-4 (I think it is Dekang but the bottle cap is not imprinted).

Any suggestions on anything I can add to my dislikes to make them vapable?

I have DK tobacco, RY4 Type, RY Double, Cubano Flavor, Tobacco Flavor, Vanilla Bourbon, EM, AP, Hazelnut, Caramel, Graham Cracker, Luck Shot Blend, Tobacco Blend, and Seedman's Tobacco.

I'm sure any suggestions would also go far in helping me with delving deeper into DIY.

Quitting smoking 7 months ago has now turned into a really cool hobby and this site and it's people are the best.

I have TFA Sweetener (mainly sucralose I think).

I have seen Smooth and Vape Wizard in a bunch of recipes, mainly to take the edge off?
I have used Apple Cider Vinegar in my dk-tab tries with no real effect.

Just tried another of my dk-tab mixes using an 8 hour hot water steep.
Not quite as flowery.

Reading thru the Master Mixers doc now.

Also remember that some flavors can take a while to mature. Something you may want to give a try is to mix in stainless steele prep cups (2-2.5oz), spend the $10-$20 on a frother/drink mixer which is good for blending your mix and aerating. After putting all your ingredients in the cup, froth until milky (lots of bubbles), let it clear and repeat this process a couple of times. Put a small sauce pot half full with water on the stove and heat on low to about 80deg no more that 120 and sit your SS cup of mix in the water and let it come to temp before taking it out. you will need a cooking thermometer that you will only use for e-liquid for this. When you take it out let it sit for an hour before bottling it and tucking it away for a day or two. I think you'll find this worth the extra effort.

Of course the is in my IMHO but still these are things that I've learned here and elsewhere, tried them and felt it was worth keeping as part of my procedures. My SOP!

JMO...I'd dump that Smooth/Vape Wizard/ACV/Sweetener down the drain and stop reading the "Master Mixer's Doc/Thread". I'm not familiar with those brand flavors you mentioned, but regardless...TPA/TFA doesn't have a flavor that remotely resembles a tobacco flavor.

I may have read somewhere where Tribecca is some sort of RY concoction. If you're wanting to mix something along these lines I'd suggest INW Toni D' Milano S'Camel, Dirty Neutral Base, Little Space Drop and/or Hangsen RY1/RY4 as your tobacco base and just add vanilla/caramel at your preferred percentages.

My Tribeca clone is 8% of RY4 Double with a drop of AP per 5ml. I sometime also add 2-3% Caramel and Vanilla Swirl (or Bavarian Cream if you prefer) for a sweeter treat. I've personally never made a mix with RY4D I haven't liked. I would try adding one or all of the ingredients I mentioned depending on what your looking for, taste wise.

I agree. I just can't seem to mess RY4D up.
I am ordering dy1 thru 4 right now though so I can try less sweet/more tobacco options and sweeten as needed.

I am just also looking for a way to tweak/fix those other juices I don't like, so they don't go to waste. The G.I Joe is WTA and is expensive.
I love Whole Tobacco Alkaloids but it is pricey.

ya ry4 dbl is a staple for me to.


tfa 555/dk tob needs steeping, it is one of my favorites after a good steep @7-10%

TFA ry4 taste like medicine

M tobacco is pretty dang good

cowboy is also mmmkay

tfa/tpa their best tob flavor is definitely dbl ry4 and 555

If you want you can buy tfa/tpa almost their whole line of flavors for about 50 bucks at wizard labs. Only a 1.50 per 8ml each..

Flavour arts fruit flavors are really nice wish wizard carried them..

Never smoked a marlboro but m-type is very good stuff -- yup, has to steep tho, its not good 1st few days
unbelievable how it changes.. The longer you have the flavor vial steeping itself the less time it has to steep after mixing an e juice is cool.

I make ~120-150ml of either M or 555 every month, it helps with steeping to make em 30ml^3 and some 10ml.. one thing after 5-12 months? IDK had an atty feeder mixed 3ml syringe of both buried under my flavor bag and they both become horrible tasting 'headache causing grossness. It may have leeched the syringe plastic IDK..

When I got my first TFA order, I picked up RY4D, DK and Red Type. I ended up dumping out the DK and the Red Type as both of those taste like fruity / perfume / flowers. Just nasty. I tried and tried to make those flavors work and finally gave up. I kept the RY4D, however. I don't think that RY4D tastes like any cigarette I ever smoked, BUT it is tasty, IMO.

DK is one of the most used TFA tobacco flavors next to RY4D but it's not intended as a solo flavor.

Ill say it again just re-tried some 4 month steeped ry4 asian -- just no
if you like the taste of lecithin vitamins then by all means its spot on
reminds me of old shaklee vitamin pills or todays lecithin

I do a steep to any flavor I find nasty when 1st mixed and try them every so now and again
but this one has not changed from day one..

Some flavors aren't for everyone like FA Perique Black it's one of those love or hate deals. I have seen some people claim how they love Ry4 Asian in mixes. I never messed with it after trying it once and wanting to vomit.
