Hi Guys,

I am new to the e-cig. I cannot get consistent vapor production out of my njoy NPRO (RN4081). I have the original atomizer and I bought a back-up. Before I go to bed, I put both of them on a paper towel and blow through them in the morning. The first hit each day is great- i get a big cloud. Then after that it is very light or nothing. Then I take the other atomizer and take a hit off it and it also gives me a big cloud for the first hit then the vaopr is very light if anything.

This is pissing me off. Should i be getting that great big hit every time I take a puff? or is this normal? I am very frusterated. I keep smoking analogs becase i cannot get consistent hits off the e-cig. If I could get that good vape hit everytime I would be very happy.

I think I am going to buy a different model- maybe the 901. I know its hard to suggest a good model b/c everyone is differnt- but all im looking for is a e-cig that gives me good vapor every time I take a puff- any suggestions?

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks

As breakfastchef said, a manual switch device would generally provide you with a better experience. In addition to the devices he mentioned...take a look at a 510 (with manual batteries). The 510 is also known as a Dura-C, Yeti, Titan................

EDIT: Oops, I see he mentioned the 510.........my bad..........

Good Luck!

It could be one of several factors

Bad atomizer
Flooded atomizer
Bad battery
Battery low on charge
Cart too dry
Cart filler material not in contact with atomizer
Atomizer not screwed tightly enough on battery
Atomizer screwed on tightly enough but bad contact between battery and atomizer

Take your pick.

I have several 4081s. I find the atomizers extremely variable, batteries too. If I can find a good atomizer, I usually find a battery that gives me consistent results and use that one til it dies. I also found that dripping was much more satisfactory on this device than using the carts (2 drops absolute max though).

That being said, get a stick, money well spent, kiss your troubles goodbye.

I would never recommend any auto switch PV especially the 4081. I guess the only exception would be if you use to smoke maybe five cigs a day or one about every three hours. Then the 4081 might work for you. Other than that, as everyone else has said, get a manual switch PV and start really vaping and reduce your frustration level.

Unfortunately I bought the NJOY without doing any research (wish I would have found this site earlier)- I wish I would have spent that money on a good reliable e-cig. I was wondering if I bought a generic 510 if I would just be throwing my money away again. I was thinking about purchasing my next rig in pieces to save some money?

I have a question about the battery charger that came with my NJOY NPRO kit- can this charger be used to charge different models batteries if I chose to buy my next set-up in pieces?

So from reading the other posts- the 510 has the best vapor production? I just want good vapor production. I am looking to spend around $50 bucks on my next unit- can I get a good kit for around that price, or would you recommend that I wait longer and save for a more expensive set-up? If so, anyone know a link where I can find a good set-up for around that price range?

Thanks for all your help. I find most of this e-cig thing very confusing. This site has helped me so much since I’ve been asking questions and reading about e-cigs. The hardest part is figuring about what to buy and where- there are so many different options it becomes overwhelming. Thanks for helping a noob out!!!!!

Widows Bead Work - Home sells a 510 kit (2 batteries and 2 atomizers) for $50 including shipping. I have purchase 7 of these kits from Monique always fast shipping and no DOA hardware. You can find the 510 for even slightly cheaper, but make sure you are getting 2 batts (BOTH manual) and 2 atomizers.........not all kits have this

in a cliff notes way what are the main differences for the major models? for example the901 and 510? like what kind of smoker would perfer the 901? or maybe a link to a list of all the popular models so i can read the pros and cons.

I think i am going to order the 510! thanks for everyones help. thia stuff is alot easier to grasp with friendly knowlegable people. i thank you all for introducing me the digital age of smoking!

The main differences in all ecigs are found in the battery and atomizers.

From smallest to biggest atomizers among the most common models are

510
901
801

The smaller the atomizer the quicker it can heat up and the hotter it can get with the same voltage battery. This is why you often hear that the 510 vapor is the hottest then 901 and finally 801...............Note: this is not an all inclusive list of atomizers, there are others. I just picked the 3 most popular to illustrate the differences.

It is a matter of preference. I use a Janty Stick which has an 801 atomizer and a battery that runs at the same voltage as the 510. That is why the vapor from the Janty Stick is "cooler" (but still warm)than the vapor from a 901 or 510..............

Batteries are the same size proportionally. 510 is the smallest then 901 and finally 801 (which is referred to as a penstyle).

While the 510 is a hugely popular model, the #1 complaint with it is the relatively short battery life. That is why a unit like the Stick is as good as it is. It has a battery than can last 4-7 hours depending on usage. My wife uses and loves her 510, but a battery will last around 2 hours at best.

Batteries come in manual and automatic versions. Manual batteries must be activated by depressing a button, whereas an automatic is activated by beginning to draw on the unit. The downside with automatic batteries is that they can sometimes be activated by noise or wind. They usually work better with a "primer" puff before beginning the actual draw. With a manual battery, you can just depress the button for a second before starting your draw to warm the atomizer and get a better draw.

And then of course cart size is dictated by the atomizer. 510 the smallest then 901 and 801. So couple the large cart size (less refilling) with a longer battery life and the "cooler" vapor(my preference) and you can see the reasons I have picked the unit I use.

Everyone has different needs and preferences. Couple those with the proper unit and you can make an informed purchase

This is the best resource on models. I have never read anything that recommends certain devices based on your analog smoking habits.

Elendil thank you so much for taking your time to post the information above. I learned more in your one post than I have in the whole week and a half that I have been reading the forum! Very cool if you. I now have a way better idea of what I want for my next set-up. After your explaination I think I will like the same style that you use. Good vapor production, longer battery life and cooler vapor. No matter which model I choose it will be a huge upgrade from the njoy npro that I am using now. Now it's just matter of finding a site that has it in stock.

I found the joye 510-c on diet smoke that I wanted but it is out of stock. Now is the janty stick an 801? Or it just has the 801 atomizer sorry if I am being redundant, just want to be clear.

Another question: can you refill the carts and buy blanks like you can for the 4081?(for the 501)

Anyway, I have more research to do, thanks to you all I am heading in the right direction.
Thank you sincerely.

The Janty uses 801 atomizers and you can buy blank carts and refill them with the liquid of your choice.
