Bad Vapor production, taste, or what have u?

So I've been fighting with my attys on my 510 for this whole day. I was getting a terrible taste and poor VERY POOR vapor production. The taste was similar to what a lot of people are complaining about in 510 attys lately. Btw also tried a few different methods before this one.

Here is what I finally found in an old post that helped eliminate the problem completely.

1 - flush your atty under tap hot water for about 30 seconds or so (you don't need to boil it or make baths with weird stuff for ages, just flush it with hot water for 30 seconds)

2 - blow with your mouth through boths ends (big hole/little hole) of the atty for few seconds to just let it dry a little.

3 - connect your atty to your PV (a regular 3.7v device or ecig) without the cart or cart filler (!!) and perform a 12 seconds (cut-off) dry burn (press the button till cut-off while gently blowing through the mouthpiece -801- or empty cart -510/901- be sure you're blowing -not draggin inside-
you will see a little vapor coming out (it's vaporized water).
If you do not blow while dry burning the coil may get TOO HOT and you may damage it.

4 - do this dry burn 4 times in a row. After that your atty will be perfectly dry and ready to get new juice again.

5 - drip between 5 to 8 drops of liquid into the atty (801), or 2 to 5 (510).
wait a least 2 seconds between any drop, the mesh needs to absorb each drop before adding another one.
Now start vaping, if it doesn't produce much vapor add other drops till it start producing good vapor.
Now the bad taste will be gone.

Now I'm sure there are varying reasons ppl are having atty problems, but like I said this fixed my specific issue so I felt the need to repost this for others maybe having similar issues. BTW tks to ournature for posting this!

It will come back if you actually have a truly bad atty. In my experience these things may work for a short while, but it always comes back.

AWESOME!!! I had a totally funky taste coming out of my SE Gold; HATED IT! Smelled like ... smoke. I did this, exactly as described except no dry burn (don't even think you can do it with this one/auto battery). Just hot water rinse for 30 seconds, blew threw the battery connector end toward the other end with my mouth, then blew with a inflatable mattress pump to dry for like 2mins. DONE! Vape=50% increase (and consider this; the atty was TWO DAYS OLD; I watched her open the package and put it on at the kiosk in the mall). Funk taste was gone! Sorry, I'm verbose, but here's my bottom line:

Forget flying to Neptune to get their special liquid, then passing through 16 time warps with perfect timing to clean you atty.

Rinse atty under hot tap water, dry it for 5 mins with a blowdryer or 2 mins if you have a higher pressure air source, prime with 8 drops, slowly, and you are DONE!
