Haven't missed anything, I've been doing nothing but boxing things for the last couple weeks it seems. Be finally glad to get this all over with. Nothing like moving in the middle of a heat wave, huh?

I'm back.....moved and internet is finally up. Still need to unpack lots of stuff.

Moving is like Christmas....lots of boxes, many which you have no idea of their contents, which need to be opened.

Did you ever use nitric acid on the maple? Old flintlockers trick. Wipe it on, hit it with a little heat. It all darkens but lightly pass over 220 grit and it comes off except the curl so it enhances the curl.

I am aware of the acid thing, but never tried it. There's quite a few tricks out there for bringing out texture in wood, eh?
