Bananas Foster in Cartomizers?

First time posting here though I've been using almost exclusively TV for over a year... Bananas Foster is one of my favorites at 24mg and 80/20 but man, a carto lasts no time with it... I wonder if it is all the complex flavors.. I filled a Boge LR last night, topped off and vaped about two hours last night and six today and already the filler is black/ brown and tastes burnt... I use a drip tip and constantly add 4 to 6 drops and give it time between hits... I fill up by dripping 1ml, spin, more dripping and then let them sit... This is with an 18650 mod...
My A/C on the other hand lasts three to four days on cartos before they go south... Cartos still piss me off... They are the only thing I enjoy but barely last... Dont care for clearos, dual coil, etc....

Anyone else BF on cartos?

Oh yeah.. forgot to say I added about 2 to 4 per cent 180 proof vodka to the BF for a little more throat hit... a cheap brand called Devil Springs since Everclear is illegal in NY...

I haven't had a lot of luck with tv juice and cartos. Plain waffle and caramel popcorn without sweetener are pretty easy on cartos. A few things I look for when purchasing juice for cartos-

light in color / clear
low vg content (I like 20% or less on the vg for carto use)
not a heavy on sweeteners

Boge 2ohm Cartos are super and I don't think there will be much challenge of that fact, I also think that any dark juice will foul up any carto faster than a clear juice, as well as all VG or a heavy mix of VG, All of these or a combination there of will diminish the life of any carto compared to a PG-Clear juice. I use an all VG or very heavy VG it's all I vape, therefor none of my carto's last to long, there also a disposable so there not meant to last to long, even if you went through 2 a day it would be cheaper and healthier than smoking too. Just my opinion

Yeah, you're both definitely right on the VG and color, etc... I wish I could drip.... Tried every type of atty- good flavor here and there but then I'm always getting a burnt taste even when keeping them incredibly moist and practically leaking all over the place.. Maybe I could try adding my own sweetener and making it a bit less than what TV adds...

Vapings much cheaper but still- 25 to 35 a month in cartos plus all the juices i want to try adds up... I was only spending about 70 a month on cartons of smokes from the res- not that I would ever go back but just sayin... Ill keep doing the same as I have been for over a year.. For me the cartos and TV are still the best option out there...

Most of my favorite juices are sweet/dark ones, and I've been having the same problem. I saw this video in another thread last night, and was thinking about giving them a shot with my favorite juices.

Try the 1.7 megas from CCV... They rock and I'm getting 4x or 5x more time out of them. I just blow them out once a day. These are made by Smoktech, I think the batting is different than the Boge but I'm guessing.

You got me just in time... I was about to buy a ton of boge LRs when I saw your response...The smoktechs are a great deal and seem like they'd have more longevity... Shipping included so price comparable to the Boges really.... I'd seen the smoketechs but not for CCVs price.... I bet a change in batting would make a difference...Ill give em a shot... Thanks much... iI hope I can peel the black stickers off easily w goo gone.

A well-known supplier that I bought an early carto from who shall remain nameless, told me that if you put them in the fridge for a few hours first it peels off cleanly. That didn't work for me but I was able to get the rest off with a little olive oil (which has the advantage of being non-toxic.)

Yeah, the fridge, actually freezer, tip didn't work for me at all.... I am weary of using goo gone but nothing else I tried works.... I just twist a sock w goo gone around the carto while on a mod and comes off pretty easily (w end cap on). Then I use water on threaded end to make sure none got in... funky smell though...I hear sticker lifter is better but not sure if they sell around here.... Maybe the Smok Techs will look cool enough w the label....

My pleasure, btw the guy at CCV suggests putting them in the freezer to get the sticker off, it didn't work all that well for me either so I bought a t Rex cone for my ego, it's a little wider at the end. Prob solved.

The DCs might just be the thing for you. I guess I must have read your post too fast the first time. Didn't notice that you're just hoping to get 3-4 days use with BF. I'm new to cartos, and I suppose I've been expecting too much from them. I thought I'd get 2 or 3 weeks, but maybe I should be happy that I can get more than 4 days using sweet, darkish juice. I don't have TV BF, but I do use a lot of TV Boston Cream Pie, and I'm not going through cartos that fast. I've only used the DC cartos so far, so can't compare them to anything else, but judging by these new (probably more realistic) expectations, they do work well.
BTW, Joogler Juice and Vapor God both sell them for 5/$9 with a free bottle of juice. I guess if CCV has free shipping and gives you a syringe and drip tip, it sort of works out to be about the same... but I thought I'd throw this out there in case you want to just buy a few to try them out.

Yeah, 3 to 4 days isn't bad for regular LRs in my opinion... I'm very picky on flavor though... I tried DCs and didn't get all the hype... they last the same amount of time and don't perform much better in my opinion... I bet at higher voltages its very noticeable though.... I'm really looking forward to the smok tech 1.7s... no syringe though but still awesome deal... close to same price as the boges I get from china for a buck a piece when u factor in the shipping too... Ill let u know how they are... I just saw triple coils too... just wait and there will be quintuples I bet..

Ya, and slowly pull it out as u fill it. After that I drip to fill. I do however blow out the gunk about once a day. I blow until it's the color it's supposed to be. This technique only gave me a few more hours on the Boge but with these I get another day then another then another. I don't know why it is, all I know is that I've gone from a carto a day to one or two a week.

Ok... initial impressions after about 5 hours... I can see these lasting much longer... Im using a thin juice but I can just tell they will not clog up that badly... One thing I notice is that the filler is much more permeable... After hitting it for a while, Ill top off until the top looks moist and can tell the center tube is really flooded so I have to blow it out or vape through it... I think it will be tougher to tell when to top off and will take some getting used to but still think these are a big improvement.. I can see them working like a dream on VG heavy juices...
I can definitely tell the difference in resistance from regular LR boges... On a fresh 18650 at 4.2 volts with an LR Boge, I usually get about 3.4 to 3.6 volts under load... With these, its usually more like 3.8 though the amount of juice in it affects this as well... Its cool that they are megas, but when you think about it, that doesnt matter much if you constantly top off... Most likely you would top off just as much as with a standard size... Overall, yes Im very pleased... Thanks a lot for the advice! I can see making a permanent change, especially for VG heavier or dark colored liquid.s Ill save the Boges I have left for stuff like my cinnacide... Perhaps I should post this on CCV's forum... Actually don't think he has one yet, but Ill put it somewhere... So to come full circle, for complex TV flavors like bananas foster and other sweet flavors, these seem perfect!
