I like the e-power as well BUT to say they are the same size is an inaccurate statement IF, what I have seen pic wise is true...the 14650 model is slightly larger and the 18650 model looks to be considerably larger...if you can show me pics, that indicate the are the same size, I'll shut up...otherwise, I call ya on that statement!!!!!!!

p.s. not to mention reported switch and other issues...some vendors have pulled them until QC issues are dealt with........mj
p.s.s. my first mod will probably be the RoughStak V2 from MadVapes...............mj
p.s.s.s. ...pretty close...but certainly not the same size...imjusayin.................mj

I have held all of the models in question. The 14500 model E-Power is almost exactly the same size as the Riva. It may be a millimeter larger around but not enough that you can tell by holding it. I have not heard of many switch problems at all with the E-Power. And even if in the unlikely event the switch did malfunction, the replacement switch is only $12 for the E-Power which is less than the $20 you pay for the switch/battery replacement with the Riva.

...errrr, the Riva replacement batts are 11.99 from Liberty Flights...plus, the new ones they are selling, have a 3-click on/off feature...didn't have that when I bought my kits.................

Most sites have the Riva batteries between $15- $20. But even at $12, why would I want to pay $12 for a battery when I can get one that is better for $4-$5 and it will last 5 times longer??

...all new Rivas are 3.7...I don't know for sure BUT, my take is the Rivas charge to 4.2 and are regulated to give 3.7v until they register "ready for recharge"...this gives a more consistent vape than eGos which start at 3.7 and fall to 3.4(?)...like I said, don't know for sure and anyone with better/more info, please chime in............

...it has to do with how batts work...they have a limited amount of power, as this power is used, the amount available decreases...if you start out with a higher voltage(say 4.2v) and use a regulator to only draw 3.7, you are able to give more straight 3.7 power, consistently...if the power is unregulated, you will start out at whatever is available in the batt and each successive use will get lower and lower...hope that made sense.................

So the voltage has to do with vape consistency?

Higher voltage and higher mAh batteries stay at a more constant power level longer, so yes, it does help with consistency. Regulated power mitigates the effects of the battery drain. But plain regulated, like on a few 3.7 volt PV's, can't come close the consistency found in PV's with "regulated boost circuit" technology. This will keep the power level the same, thus the ultimate in consistency, for the length of the battery charge. No 3.7v PV has this technology that I am aware of.

The variable volt Darwin has this technology and is the reason why it is the most consistent PV on the market. (as well as providing 21+ hours on a charge).
