. I went to One stop DIY shop and ordered the Malted Milk and EM (just to be safe). I guess I'll use the EZ-SWEET in my coffee as I'm a diabetic..:)

EZ-sweetz (sucralose) is very good for sweetening e-liquid, it's like plain white sugar (to me) Just use it sparingly as it's potent :)

EM is great, but it definitely adds some flavour rather than just straight up sweetness. AFAIK LorAnn's cotton candy is mostly EM but I'm not sure at what ratio, or if there's any extra ingredients.

Thanx a buch ! Ive been using Splenda for years now, and my taste buds are pretty liberal to what is "sweet" to me (one of the downfalls of being diabetic). I read forum posts from other members who say the same thing...

Now that I think about it, I wonder if their have been any studies involving the rise in blood sugar w/vaping...I guess I need to test in the morning, vape for an hour and re-test, to see what happens..

Doesn't really matter, analogs are history no matter what...:)

Much thanx !. I read on another forum that LorAnn's "Cotton Candy" flavoring is nothing more than the above mentioned EM that's already been liquified. (I did buy a couple of dram bottles), is that true?

Much appreciated the Malt links !!!!!

Much thanx again !!. I went to One stop DIY shop and ordered the Malted Milk and EM (just to be safe). I guess I'll use the EZ-SWEET in my coffee as I'm a diabetic..:)

This is something that comes up now & again and I'm not sure how it gets started but Lorann's Cotton Candy is not the 10% EM in PG. Lorann uses a different recipe and I don't recall ever seeing exactly what is in it. The Cotton Candy flavoring that is strctly 10% EM in PG is made by The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) or you could see them called by the parent company The Perfumers Apprentice (TPA). They also have a Cotton Candy Circus Style so don't confuse the two, you want just the Cotton Candy by TFA if you are looking for 10% EM in PG.

Also, depending on what you plan to do with your DIY -- alot of venders will say they use no sweetners, the flavors are used as sweetners - this simply means they dont use the Sucralose or Stevia. Other things that can be used as sweetners (that are considered flavorings) are cotton candy, marshmellow, brown sugar, molasses, honey -- etc. I use all of the above (including the sweetner) depending on what Im making as some mix better with certain recipes than others, but when in doubt, i use EM (Ethyl Maltol or cotton candy).

Also Malt flavor is sold by TPA (the Perfumers Apprentice / Flavor apprentice) - great prices and in my experience, it has been fast shipping too.

Thanks so much! I thought it was close to Xylitol, turns out it is! I actually have some EM crystals I got in a trade, just didn't know if I wanted to use them :) -thanks again -Paiz

I know this is an older post, but, it caught my attention. Xylitol might just be the gem I've been looking for. Boiling point 161 °C. Unlike Ethyl Maltol it doesn't have to be partially decomposed at high temperature to dissolve properly into water. And unlike other sweeteners there seems to be no negative stigma or studies. Thank you! Now I just need to order some and try it out :)
