I see what you're saying. I am just curious on why it is better, or rather, what is it about bottom feeding that could make an atty last longer?

I know with dripping, you consistently have to keep adding drops and drops to keep good flavor and vapor. So, is it that because you're feeding instead of dripping, you feed the atty more liquid and thus the repetition of consistent dripping is what may decrease the atty's life? Would that be the act of bottom feeding or the bottom feeder mod itself preserving the atty's life?

What I mean is: Let's say, for just an example, that when I pump juice into my atty via bottom-fed, I'm pumping 2/5 of a milliliter (or, just for fun, let's say 8 drops) into the atty. Well, whatever juice that isn't caught in the cup or wick or mesh will return into the bottle, or drip-well right? So, if I were to drip the same amount of juice via top-fed or just plain dripping (also in a de-bridged atty bare in mind), in a bottom-feeding mod, wouldn't that be the exact same thing? The only difference then would be the initial direction the juice came in, right?

So, if you agree with the said above, would it not be the bottom-feeding device giving an atty a chance at a longer life, as opposed to the act of bottom-feeding itself? Edit: Or is it that when juice is supplied to the coil from bottom up, it actually makes a difference in terms of longevity?

Please also bare in mind, I am not trying to be objective or argumentive. I am naturally an inquisitive person and I ask a lot of questions. Take no offense :) I'm still learning.

Levitas Everything i wrote was just my ideas on it and my opinion i have noticed results that for me would make bottomfeeding better At least for me

That being said i know alot of bottomfed users agree because when you press the juice up into the ceramic cup below the coils it is a almost effortless act just lightly push or tilt or shoot...... its not dripping at any speed and the juice going back down is sitting in the ceramic cup which the coil sits in

........VS dripping where there is almost always some speed and weight
involved repeating this on the coil could be a reason for lower life then normal cart use or Bfeed ANd if you use heavy thick vg juice then its even heavier and fast

But again this is really my own thoughts nothing has been mad scientist lab tested to prove and it might be all in my head lol i admit this

But i also think im hitting on some truths

Basilray, thanks for keeping us updated on the eq. I was wondering why I hadn't seen any other reviews yet. The recall explains it. I initially didn't like the plastic tube like some of the other people on here, but I got over it. Its definitely still at the top of my "I wish I could afford it" list.

You're welcome. I'm hoping to help test any changes that get made to the EQ. During my week with the device, I thoroughly enjoyed using it, and ran into very little problems outside of the initial learning curve. If I can help bring a device that I have enjoyed to market so the rest can enjoy it without issue, that would be a crowning achievement in my book.

I love the idea behind this mod but I just can't get over the look. Too big/bulky and as others have mentioned the tube just looks cheap and out of place on a mod this expensive.

Also, I'm not a fan of the interface, looks way too complicated, but that may just be my ignorance speaking as I've yet to try one. I am more of a fan of elegant design, aka, achieving all required design requirements with as much simplicity as possible. Given the amount of complexity in this device I just see way too many points of failure for my liking.
