batch posting?

i've seen several threads -- tutorials mainly -- where the OP gets a dozen or so posts in a row before anyone slips in a reply.

is there a way to make this happen or is OP merely fast and lucky?

I would say typically fast & lucky. There's not a "button" that makes this happen, though theoretically you could if you were fast & clever.

If you needed to post multiple times in succession for some reason, like the tutorial threads you mention, there are a couple of ways you can do it easily. One is to just have your posts pre-typed (including any BBcode) in a text file so you can just copy and paste to post them. The delay required by the forum software between making consecutive posts is only 15 seconds, so you can likely get the posts in before anybody jumps in on ya. The other method would be to make a couple blank posts after the initial one as placeholders. You are able to edit your posts for around 2 hours after posting, so you can then take your time to do the edits within that window
