Hi everyone I have some questions on batteries and chargers. This might have been posted before but my questions come in series so I thought I'd start a new thread to get all the information collated in one.Veterans please advise!

1)Can mods use normal non rechargeable/rechargeable(NiMH and NiCd) batteries instead of the Lithium ion ones?14500 is the same size as AA so I was wondering.

2)I realized for some batteries for example 14500 from AW,there are different models that come in different maH(current).Does it actually matter?

3)Can NiMH and NiCd battery chargers be used to charge lithium ion batteries and vice versa?or am I right to assume that NiMH and NiCd battery chargers can only be used to charge NiMH and NiCd batteries, and Lithium ion ones for lithium chargers?

1. No, since they will be only about 1.5V per battery, and Li-ion is 3.7V. There won't be enough voltage to fire the atty. I have heard of people stacking a few regular AAs for 4.5V on some custom mod, but in general they are not powerful enough for a normal one-batt mod.

2. mAh ratings vary, and are often labeled as higher than they actually are. If they are from the same company the lower mAh ones may be high-drain. the high drain ones supposedly give more current, and so a hotter vape, but I've no experience with them. Clouds of Vapor sells both types.

3. No. Ni-type rechargables are different voltage and current specs for charging. You need a Li-ion charger for Li-ion batteries. This is also a safety issue. Li-ions can catch fire with the wrong charging specs.
