What are the differences in "Chargers" for lithium-ion batterys vs. NiCD and NiMH "Chargers" ?? I have a few Li-Ion 3.7-1300maH batts but missing the Li-Ion charger.

I do have a 0-30V 5amp variable power supply, so hooking up some leads to recharge them would be cake...but I've read somewhere that it wont work, my question is why ?

Thx, Dubs

Think I'll just get a new charger :D

Probably a good idea.

But if you wanted to do it yourself, for 3.7v 1300mAh batteries you'd want 4.2v output at about 500mA (maybe 700mA). And you'd want it to shut off when the battery got to 4.2v in case they weren't protected to disconnect themselves when fully charged.

WillyB got my brain working, I just found this http://www.gpbatteries.com/pic/GP1850L130_DS.pdf

Standard Charge : 780 mA to 4.20 volt for 2.5 hrs at 20C

I got that from this link http://www.gpbatteries.com/html/techinfo/li_ion.asp
