Oh NO ! Not Another batteries Thread !
It is to my Limited Understanding that AW was flooded out about a year ago, Sony is no longer in the market, button tops are becoming harder to find, and newer vaping Gear places a heavier strain on batteries.
So....
Manufacturers. Retailers. Proper Usage. Proper Charging. Proper Storage. Safe Limits.
Improper Usage. Dangerous Limitations. Shelf Life.
Anything Batteries. Advice, experience, charts, warnings.... anything batteries.

Just as a starter, do NOT leave charged batteries in the charger bay. Extended charging cycles could cause the Battery to 'vent', and it becomes dangerous. Don't ask me how I know these things

  • Yes, the AW plant has been shut down for almost a year now.
  • Sony's battery division was purchased a few months ago by Murata. Sony batteries are still widely available as Sony.
  • Button top batteries are getting harder to find, but can still be found with some Google Fu.

There's a lot of current battery information available here on ECF. Good places to start are Battery Mooch's blog and You Tube website, and my own blogs (See link below in my signature).

Specific battery questions can be addressed here: Batteries and Chargers

Just want to add a link for the curious Murata Manufacturing - Wikipedia

Murata’s focus seems to be ceramics for electronics use. This makes the new ceramic lithium batteries even more interesting
